Wolf Prize Awards - Social Media Organic Growth
Background - The Wolf Prize is an annual accolade awarded to distinguished individuals in the fields of art, science, and mathematics, honoring the most exceptional intellects and talents globally. Objective - To generate excitement and awareness for the announcement via social media platforms, promoting the live broadcast and fostering increased engagement across all channels. Strategy and execution: We built anticipation by implementing a countdown to the announcement on all social media platforms, featuring intriguing facts relevant to each day. During the event, we shared live updates on the announcement of each of the 11 laureates simultaneously across all platforms, including tags for the laureates, their institutions, alma maters, and insights into their achievements. After the live event, we launched a Spotlight Series to provide a more in-depth introduction of the 11 laureates, elaborating on the reasons for their recognition. Results: From the campaign's inception, social media engagement surged significantly across all three platforms. On Twitter, there were 70,000 profile visits and 1.12 million tweet impressions, representing increases of 690% and 180%, respectively. Facebook experienced a 306% rise in visits compared to the previous year, with post engagement up by 91% and video views increasing by 295%. LinkedIn saw an almost 3,000% rise in views, 1,850% growth in unique users, and a 2,720% uptick in reactions, with the education and research sectors showing the most substantial growth. In terms of followers, numbers saw a dramatic increase in the month following the announcement, with Twitter followers up nearly 30% and LinkedIn followers tripling.
