Microsoft stands as the foremost platform and productivity company in today's cloud-centric environment. They have established a comprehensive partner network called the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) to enhance their global customer outreach. To encourage partner participation in the MPN program, Microsoft recognizes successful partners with competency achievements, helping them to connect more effectively with their customers by highlighting their Microsoft-approved status. Collaborating closely with the MPN IT team to align with their existing partner database, our challenge was to devise a system that restricts the distribution of custom logos to only those partner organizations that have met specific achievements while ensuring that logo customization remains user-friendly. We created an application with an intuitive UX design that enables users to generate logos tailored to their partner profiles, incorporating the current MPN branding and utilizing cutting-edge technology by transitioning the partner program to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The outcome was an efficient and fully responsive user experience with a flexible framework poised to accommodate evolving requirements over time.

The Cyber Independent Test Lab (CITL) is a nonprofit research entity that utilizes scientific data to inform consumers about software security. In response to the absence of industry standards for assessing and testing security, they independently evaluate the risks associated with different software. Although the data in their reports can be daunting for those not in the industry, they strive to make this information accessible for the average consumer. Their aim is to function as the "Consumer Reports" for software security, equipping individuals with the knowledge to make informed decisions that enhance safety in the industry. The challenge they faced was to manage information overload and organize intricate data in a way that is easily understandable, while also creating a new website to present the reports and brand in alignment with their mission. We developed a new site structure based on user objectives identified through research-based personas, designed reports with varying levels of complexity, and established a visual design language that effectively communicates their aims.

Washington Military Department Disaster Zone Business Re-Entry Application

The Washington Military Department works to reduce the effects of emergencies and disasters on individuals, property, the environment, and the economy of Washington State by equipping trained personnel for both state and federal missions, including those in disaster-stricken areas. To aid local officials in managing access to these zones, their Emergency Management Division required a new and innovative system. This system was designed to be user-friendly for on-site officials, accessible via mobile devices, and capable of confirming that visitors have a legitimate emergency registration with the State. The objective was to create a statewide emergency business re-entry application that would allow Washington businesses to securely enter their details, manage and print their registration proof annually, while ensuring certain information is publicly accessible and that the system remains user-friendly and scalable. We developed a web interface for business registration, incorporated email and PDF generation capabilities, and created a publicly accessible portal that shares selective details about a company's registration while facilitating easy verification for those present at emergency sites. The outcome was a cloud-based, mobile-friendly application utilized statewide by law enforcement agencies tasked with controlling access to disaster areas and incident perimeters.
