Yantra Group

Yantra serves as a comprehensive solution for on-demand home services, designed to simplify life by delivering professionals directly to customers’ homes with just a click. One major challenge has been the struggle to find a dependable service provider for home repairs, especially in urgent situations. To address this issue, we needed to establish a connection between consumers and appropriate service providers. We initiated our research by engaging with Yantra's team to gain insights into their objectives. We analyzed the existing market landscape, both in Nepal and internationally, before conducting tests with various focus groups to better understand people’s needs. Our research revealed a lack of platforms offering comparable services, and while some similar applications existed, they had significant operational issues. This realization highlighted the opportunity to create a fully functional application, prompting us to start development. Once we gathered sufficient resources, brainstorming commenced to identify the best solutions for our customers. The Yantra team and we held numerous meetings—both in person and online—to formulate a collaborative solution that would meet everyone’s needs. The result of our partnership was a well-developed and user-friendly app designed from a clear mapping of Yantra's concept. Throughout several months of teamwork, we faced various challenges but repeatedly refined our design to achieve the ideal app flow for our target audience. Although we could have rushed the product launch, both we and Yantra understood that patience and a commitment to the process ultimately lead to a superior final product.

Bringing the book store experience online

Anubooks

Anubooks is the largest bookseller, both retail and wholesale, in Lalitpur, with nearly 35 years of experience in the industry. Initially, they focused on providing textbooks to schools and colleges, but have since diversified to include both fiction and non-fiction titles. Challenges: Customers were required to visit the physical store or message to inquire about book availability. Their reputation was primarily tied to academic books. Objectives: Develop a method for various types of readers to find the books they desire and enhance Anubooks' online presence. Research and Inspiration: The pandemic led many individuals to cultivate a reading habit during their spare time. Following the end of the first lockdown, Anubooks began receiving personal calls from friends and loyal customers seeking books. This prompted the idea of launching an online platform where users could search, browse, and request books.
