Intelligent Steth with Integrated EKG - Mobile App
HD Steth by HD Medical Group
HD Medical Group, a frontrunner in detecting and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD), encountered difficulties in visualizing and analyzing heart sounds and ECG waveforms from their Bluetooth Low Energy device, HD Steth. They sought a robust application capable of connecting to their smart device via Bluetooth, capturing real-time data, and offering precise visualizations, analyses, and reporting functions. The objective was to improve patient diagnosis and treatment decisions by providing essential data instantly at the point of care. Nyx Wolves partnered with HD Medical Group to create an Android and iOS application for HD Steth that fulfilled these needs. The app utilized Bluetooth technology to link with the BLE device, capturing EKG, PCG, and MUR waveforms in real time. It featured a user-friendly interface for visualizing and analyzing the gathered data, enabling healthcare professionals to manage multiple patient profiles, record EKG readings, and produce shareable PDF reports. Additionally, the app recorded heart sounds as WAV files, allowing doctors to listen to and analyze the audio recordings. It enhanced precision with dynamic data plotting and permitted customization of waveform colors and zoom levels. Following its launch in 2020, the FDA approved the HD Steth app, which is exclusively available in the USA and assists over 1,000 doctors in early heart disease detection. By providing real-time data capture, visualizations, and analysis, it empowers healthcare professionals to make informed decisions at the point of care, capturing EKG waveforms and heart sounds for accurate diagnoses. The successful implementation of key features such as real-time data capture, patient profiles, reporting, heart sound capture, and dynamic data analysis makes HD Steth an invaluable tool in cardiovascular health.
