**Design**: Using the discovery deliverables as our guide, we created a new website featuring a flexible framework capable of adapting to Transportation Insight’s changing communication strategies. We explored various visual styles, focusing on a design that highlighted the company's distinct market position while ensuring the site could be launched on schedule and within budget. The Technology North Studio chose WordPress to fulfill Transportation Insight’s need for a content-flexible system that could be implemented quickly. Besides incorporating a custom theme, the website was organized and structured using post types and taxonomies, providing the necessary flexibility for easy adaptation as the company’s services evolve. North Studio also carefully considered the authoring experience for the Transportation Insight team, utilizing the advanced custom fields (ACF) plugin to develop thoughtfully designed, customizable, and reusable blocks that adhere to the Bootstrap 4 responsive grid system. **Development and Launch**: Given the tight deadline of this project, our flexible framework enabled the development team to lay a solid foundation while Transportation Insight finalized its visual branding, product offerings, and messaging strategy. Following that, we entered an accelerated phase to complete the project swiftly. Our content team facilitated a rapid content entry process through regular check-ins and content tracking tools. The development team’s quality assurance measures ensured a smooth launch, which included transitioning to Pantheon. **Outlook**: Transportation Insight’s website went live in the spring of 2020, coinciding with a critical period in the supply chain logistics industry, during which the coronavirus pandemic significantly impacted clients' abilities to procure and deliver products. The enhanced digital experience is designed to help the company attract new clients and provide existing clients with vital resources to navigate significant economic and market changes.

Award Winning UI/UX/Design Project

GATES FOUNDATION

The Gates Foundation approached us to refresh and launch their Drug Development Process Map website, which was still in a testing phase from the initial development company. This included incorporating feedback from stakeholders, enhancing features, and finally launching the site. A significant aspect of this project involved collaboration. North Studio was required to coordinate with the Global Health Network and their contracting organizations to successfully complete the project. In terms of UX Design, we identified improvements to the user interface, navigation, and content based on survey and interview findings. Our UX team developed a new design that featured consistent navigation, accessible resources, content tailored to the target audience, and a more user-friendly and modern layout throughout the website. For the technology, we employed a Full Stack approach utilizing the Django/Python framework and advanced CSS, allowing us to create an interactive user experience that was both visually appealing and responsive to stakeholder concerns. Looking ahead, this project has laid the groundwork for a strong partnership between North Studio and the Gates Foundation. Post-launch support will continue, and there is potential for a Phase II in the future!

Big Data Converted to Drupal UI/UX Powerhouse Project

The project also involved upgrading their back-end systems and providing content editors with greater flexibility and control.
