Bippit - A financial coach for every employee
Bippit is a startup based in the UK that assists individuals in achieving financial clarity and confidence by providing access to professional advice. Available as an employee benefit, the platform offers companies resources to help their employees manage their finances more effectively. Users can utilize the app to set financial goals, monitor budgets, and communicate directly with financial experts for personalized guidance. By integrating straightforward digital tools with genuine human support, Bippit aims to enhance financial wellness both in the workplace and beyond.
NEXTAP has been involved with Bippit since its inception. Initially, we helped develop a minimum viable product (MVP) prototype that defined the product's direction and provided stakeholders with a clear vision for the application. After validating the concept, we took charge of building the iOS app, consistently supported by a dedicated developer from the launch through its subsequent growth. As Bippit evolved, our role expanded significantly. We created the entire web platform, addressing both the user interface and the internal administration tool. On the backend, we began by assisting the existing system and progressively took over most of its development to ensure stability and scalability. Although we initiated Android development, it was ultimately halted as priorities changed. This collaboration across iOS, web, and backend services enabled Bippit to progress swiftly and deliver a comprehensive multi-platform experience. Currently, with a new internal team established, our role has become more limited. We now serve as external advisors, stepping in when technical expertise is required for critical issues or complex challenges, rather than directly implementing features. The journey of Bippit illustrates our typical approach to working with startups: we provide hands-on delivery across platforms, assist in scaling during growth, and then transition to a supportive role once a client team is prepared to take over.
