On January 9, 2018, a massive debris flow struck Montecito, wreaking havoc and prompting a city-wide state of emergency. The five-star San Ysidro Ranch resort, rated by Forbes, suffered significant damage, with the mudslide impacting half of its 41 cottages. All technology, including cabling, Wi-Fi, server rooms, PCs, and servers, was completely washed away. Nexplay collaborated closely with the hotel's senior operations and construction teams to design and construct a new network infrastructure along with guest room technology, ensuring everything was ready for a swift re-opening.
