At the beginning of 2020, SUCCESS Computer Consulting formed a co-managed IT partnership with a medical equipment supplier located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Teaming up with the supplier's internal IT department, the two companies created a hybrid-cloud solution designed to enhance the client's competitive edge in the market. **The Challenge** The client was experiencing significant growth, and like many organizations, they had maximized their previous investment in infrastructure. Additionally, they had outgrown their current facility and were seeking a new location. Their expanding market share called for a more secure and adaptable system to support their remote workforce. Several challenges included: - Their outdated infrastructure was a liability, compounded by the retirement of their long-term IT director in early March. - They needed to enhance their security measures, particularly because they worked with hospitals. Although not subject to HIPAA regulations, it was essential to provide clients with a solid security framework for their network. - They were searching for a new physical site due to their growth. - Staff faced difficulties with remote access, as a significant portion of the company's value comes from their field team operating nationwide. Secure connectivity was a frequent issue. - The financial investment required to meet these needs was considerable. Being an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company meant that they had a duty to consider the interests of all employees, who are essentially owners. **The Result** Working alongside Ingram Micro, Great America, Lenovo, Microsoft, and WatchGuard, SUCCESS and the client created a hybrid cloud solution that offers a flexible, scalable, and highly efficient environment, enabling the business to grow securely and effectively.

In March 2021, SUCCESS Computer Consulting collaborated with a nonprofit to manage their IT operations. This organization was temporarily based in a commercial basement, along with six other satellite locations. By upgrading outdated equipment and moving to a modern workplace, we helped them streamline their IT infrastructure and enhance data security. The Challenge The organization's location and outdated IT systems made connectivity between sites and to the internet unreliable and insecure. These issues were further aggravated by the requirement of using a restrictive VPN to access their on-site file server. They sought SUCCESS's expertise to implement a more effective network and security solution in their renovated office. The client faced several significant challenges: - An unexpected server crash resulted in the loss of crucial files. - Files on the server were accessible only through an unreliable VPN, hindering remote access. - Shared connectivity among locations left the organization exposed, as they lacked Multi-factor Authentication. - They suffered a data loss incident that impacted important information. The Result SUCCESS successfully established a dependable and secure IT infrastructure in their newly renovated office. By migrating them from their on-premise server to cloud solutions like Microsoft 365, we addressed connectivity and access concerns. Switching from VPN to cloud-based Multi-factor Authentication significantly enhanced their data security. Additionally, due to the transition to a modern workplace, SUCCESS was able to recover the lost data through remote control access to the device. We were honored to assist in upgrading this organization's technology, enabling them to continue their valuable work in the community.

Vital Server Migration for Housing/Asst Living Org

In October 2021, SUCCESS Computer Consulting formed a partnership with a Saint Paul-based non-profit that provides both short- and long-term housing and care for seniors. After a year of collaboration, it became clear that the organization required IT project support to quickly and securely transfer their data. **The Challenge** The organization had its data stored on a virtual server managed by one of its partner vendors, but they learned that the vendor would no longer provide access to that server. Although they initially considered transferring their data to another server offered by the vendor, that option was not feasible. As a result, they sought assistance from SUCCESS to swiftly order and set up a new virtual server. The SUCCESS project team was tasked with transferring their data from the old server to the new one. **The Result** SUCCESS technicians successfully migrated all of the organization’s data to the new server, ensuring that no critical information was lost. A new virtual server was quickly set up, fulfilling our commitment to meet an urgent customer need. SUCCESS takes pride in delivering quality technological support to our partners, enabling them to continue providing essential programs and services to our community members.
