My Digital Maven began in 2016 when clinical psychologist Dr. Maelisa McCaffrey recognized a demand for professional websites among her therapist colleagues after creating her own for QA Prep. Initially offering "Website in a Week" workshops to guide therapists in building their Squarespace sites, Maelisa realized a more personalized, in-depth approach was needed. In 2018, she launched My Digital Maven in Long Beach, CA, specializing in Squarespace design, SEO, and digital marketing, which quickly gained strong traction. Though the business paused in 2020 due to workload, it was revitalized in 2023 in Gig Harbor, WA, when Maelisa partnered with product designer Stephen Crowe, who brought a fresh creative vision.
