Event Planning Web Application

Planit

Mokutan created a custom software solution for Planit, an event planning firm, to enhance their project management and automate routine tasks. Initially utilized by Planit, the software was later offered as a service to other event organizers. Mokutan held two scoping sessions with Planit's founders and investors to outline the project and platform, mapped out the customer journey, and built the platform using the no-code tool Bubble. Following beta testing, the platform was launched for end users, enabling Planit to secure a multi-million pound project within a month of its release. This software not only improves Planit's service quality but also generates additional income through subscriptions from similar businesses, helping Planit expand their operations.

Web app to automate name change forms

Namesake

Namesake is a web application designed to assist LGBTQ individuals in changing their name and gender marker. Developed by Luke, the CEO who faced the challenges of this process firsthand, the app simplifies the procedure by gathering essential information and automatically filling out forms for users, providing guidance throughout the name change journey. Its design emphasizes building trust, and the app was developed with scalability for future upgrades in mind. The development journey involved three primary phases, taking three months from concept to its initial external users. Consequently, the app has supported many individuals in navigating a previously complex procedure.

Custom HR Platform

Upshift LLC

Mokutan Technologies was approached by Upshift, a staffing agency recognized for linking individuals with flexible job opportunities. They shared their vision for a tailored internal HR tool aimed at improving their business processes, particularly in employee onboarding, HR functions, vacation scheduling, and feedback management. Upshift's onboarding process was cumbersome, and they lacked centralized systems to manage vacations and feedback. They required a custom solution quickly and initially set a two-month timeline; however, we aimed to deliver in just three weeks. Following a comprehensive briefing from Upshift, which included sketches of their ideas, we outlined the platform's features while considering their constraints. We promptly developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by utilizing a basic sketch. By employing no-code tools for both the front-end and back-end, we focused on speed while ensuring the security of sensitive HR data. We successfully delivered the first version in three weeks, which was half the time quoted by other agencies. This swift development maintained both quality and feature prioritization. Upshift's target department quickly adopted the solution, resulting in significant time savings and a unique, customized tool for their organization. After the initial delivery, we continued to enhance the tool, adding modules for subscription and timesheet management, and are working toward a personalized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for Upshift. Upshift's Product Manager commended our efforts, remarking, "Mokutan has enabled us to create a robust no-code platform effortlessly, reducing clutter and embracing the speed of innovation."
