TWINT Scales Into Switzerland’s No. 1 Payment App

TWINT AG

TWINT Becomes Switzerland’s Top Payment App, Partnering with Modeso for Long-Term Tech Support TWINT has established itself as Switzerland’s leading mobile payment platform, utilized by over 6 million users daily for transactions, vouchers, promotions, and partner services. As TWINT expanded its offerings beyond just payments, it faced the challenge of quickly launching new partner modules and user-centric features while maintaining Swiss financial security, stability during high traffic surges, and adhering to strict release schedules. Modeso has been selected as a long-term technology partner, responsible for the complete design, development, and maintenance of TWINT’s marketplace and partner function modules. They implemented and scaled various in-app features such as Digital Vouchers, Super Deals, Storefinder, InsurHub (in collaboration with Würth), and Spin & Win. Modeso developed a cloud-native, autoscaling infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes to manage significant traffic spikes. They ensured that the system met security protocols in accordance with Swiss financial regulations and OWASP standards, collaborating closely with TWINT’s internal teams to remain in sync with their release timelines. Results include supporting over 6 million active users and processing more than 150,000 orders per hour during peak times, with over 3 million digital vouchers purchased, around 300,000 deals redeemed, and nearly 6 million Spin & Win spins. This partnership has led to increased user engagement, the introduction of new revenue-generating features, and enhanced competitiveness in Switzerland. The collaboration, which began in 2020, has been instrumental in transforming TWINT into a comprehensive digital marketplace. Modernized Database Enables Advanced Analysis

Albin Kistler AG

Upgraded Database Facilitates Enhanced Portfolio Analysis Albin Kistler is an asset management firm serving both private and institutional clients. With over 6 billion in assets under management, Albin Kistler is recognized as Switzerland's premier wealth management company. Their competitive advantage is anchored in a proprietary investment analysis algorithm that has been developed and improved over the last 15 years. However, this algorithm relied on an outdated research database that hindered innovation and reliability. Slow and expensive release cycles, frequent bugs in user acceptance testing and live environments, and a lack of adequate documentation created challenges for further development. Objective 1: Decrease release cycles (time-to-market) by 30% Objective 2: Cut bugs in UAT and live environments by 80% Objective 3: Establish a fully documented system Modeso took charge of completely rebuilding the application. They replicated and enhanced the core investment algorithm while modernizing the technology stack and database architecture. The legacy system was converted into a secure, cloud-based web platform optimized for performance, expandability, and long-term usability. Outcomes: 50% reduction in release cycles, exceeding the original time-to-market goal 90% reduction in bugs in UAT and production environments 100% documentation of the system, facilitating quicker onboarding and safer future development A secure private-cloud platform that enables rapid feature delivery, positioning Albin Kistler as a technology-focused innovator in asset management in Switzerland. Automated Audit Workflows Enable Global Expansion

Dr. Rietmann & Partner AG

Automated Audit Workflows Support Global Growth Rietmann & Partner, a Swiss auditing and tax consultancy established in 1911, has been a trusted partner for businesses for over a century. However, as the firm sought to expand its international presence, its reliance on manual and semi-digital audit processes became a barrier to growth. Standard audit tools were inadequate for addressing Rietmann & Partner’s intricate decision-making, regulatory needs, and quality standards. Auditors were often dependent on manual analysis, leading to slower processes, inconsistencies, and limited scalability. Identified Problems: 1. Manual decision-making during audits → Objective: Reduce audit execution time by 30% 2. Inconsistent audit results across teams → Objective: Standardize audit decisions and procedures 3. Existing tools lacked the flexibility for diverse markets → Objective: Facilitate scalable, multi-country implementation without compromising data security Modeso created a customized, rule-based audit platform designed specifically for Rietmann & Partner’s approach. The solution included: - A rules engine that systematically guided auditors through decision-making - Automation of key audit processes while ensuring compliance with regulations - A multi-tenant architecture that provides separate instances for each customer to protect data security - Options for both cloud and on-premise installations to accommodate regulatory and client-specific needs - A design that allowed for tailored rules, workflows, and access controls Results: - 40% faster audits, significantly decreasing manual labor - Consistent audit outcomes across teams through standardized, rule-based processes - No data overlap among clients due to isolated system instances - Enabled global expansion, allowing onboarding of new markets without needing to redesign the platform - A robust audit system that now serves as a fundamental aspect of Rietmann & Partner’s operations and international development.
