AEON Vietnam - Character Development

AEON Vietnam

AEON Vietnam is the largest retail mall chain in the country, associated with Japan. They actively engage with customers through social media, where they showcase new products and special promotions. The challenge was to effectively communicate with AEON Vietnam's diverse audience using their brand character. To address this, we improved AEON Vietnam's mascot, Meon-chan, to better connect with our target audience and simplify marketing initiatives. We also launched a Meon sticker pack titled “Meon-chan đón tết” on Zalo to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year. As a result, the “Meon-chan đón tết” sticker pack achieved over 500,000 downloads in just 8 weeks, and the new Meon-chan design can be found in all AEON supermarkets. AEON MALL Long Bien

AEON MALL Long Bien is a leading retail destination in Hanoi, attracting families from the city. Their main strategy for connecting with consumers and communicating product information and promotions is through social media. The challenge for AEON MALL Long Bien is to create a brand persona that reflects their fundamental values and can be leveraged in their marketing strategies. The goal is to turn this character into a representation of how AEON Mall Long Bien aligns with Vietnamese tastes and culture. To address this, we have created a character named Rico (Vietnamese name: Long Ngư), inspired by the theme of "The Koi Fish Transforming into a Dragon" (Cá Koi Hoá Rồng), which symbolizes the story of AEON Mall's inception in Vietnam.

AEON MALL Binh Duong Canary

AEON MALL Binh Duong Canary is the largest and most popular shopping center in Bình Dương Province. They actively connect with customers via social media, their website, and an app to showcase new products and special offers. However, the character representing the brand, Cabi-chan, has design limitations that hinder its use in marketing materials. To address this, we improved Cabi-chan's design by increasing the variety of poses and launched a six-month social media campaign on their fan page.
