Minim Design Creative Packaging For Yello Snacks

Walkers is a new snack brand from Uzbekistan aimed primarily at children. The company’s mission is to provide top-quality snacks for kids in Uzbekistan, turning snacks into something more meaningful than just food. YellO was created as a delightful treat for children who may be feeling bored, stressed, sad, or disappointed. The brand's philosophy emphasizes that this snack is not just for filling a child's stomach, but also for bringing a little joy to their day. The target audience is kids aged 6 to 13, and the snacks also serve a practical purpose for parents by helping to encourage discipline when rewarding their children with a treat. We not only developed the packaging design for YellO but also crafted its name. We chose this particular name because it's easy for kids to pronounce, making it effortless for them to shout “Yello” upon spotting the snack in a store. Additionally, the term "yellow" resonates with the Uzbek populace, as learning English has become increasingly popular in Uzbekistan. As for the packaging, it had to be vibrant, colorful, and memorable. Drawing inspiration from the Minions from Gru, we created YellO characters—cheerful little monsters who eat almost anything. These characters are optimistic, inspiring, and fun, helping our packaging evoke emotions in children even before they taste the product. YellO snacks are currently available in Uzbekistan, with plans for expansion into Central Asian markets such as Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. Overall, we have successfully designed a unique snack packaging that is the first of its kind in Uzbekistan focused on children, in contrast to other snacks which are typically marketed as companions for beer or as "snacks for friends."

Packaging Design For An Independent Farmer By Minim

Growlandia is a distinctive product produced by an independent farmer named Obidkhan, located in the Dekhanabad region of southeastern Uzbekistan. Obidkhan specializes in worm farming, specifically breeding and selling Californian ribbon worms to other farmers, gardeners, and agronomists. He realized that his worm farm also produces a significant amount of fertilizer, which could be marketed as an additional product for the same audience. This led him to approach us for packaging design for his new fertilizer. The intended audience was clear: farmers and individual gardeners passionate about plants, vegetables, and flowers. We later identified another target group—private greenhouse owners. Before drafting package designs, we developed a strategy and segmented the audience into three categories: home gardeners using fertilizer for their own plants, farmers applying the product for growing vegetables and fruits, and greenhouse owners requiring specialized fertilizer. With a clear understanding of each customer profile, we initiated the design process. Obidkhan desired modern, illustrative, and vibrant packaging. We created packaging that visually conveys how the product can be utilized. For the gardener's packaging, we featured images of home-grown plants, while the farmer's packaging showcased flowers, and the greenhouse fertilizer pack was illustrated with tomatoes. It was essential to avoid standard packaging, as most fertilizers are depicted as dirty, bulky, and heavy, often sold in packs of 5+ kilograms, implying they are used in large quantities. However, we aimed to show that small farmers, gardeners, and everyday users can comfortably purchase and carry our product, which is why our packs contain just 1 kilogram of fertilizer.

Minim Designs Packaging For Lulu Yogurt

Rashmilk is a yogurt manufacturer from Uzbekistan that targets children and health-conscious women. When creating a new product for the brand, we began with a mascot—a bunny made from a balloon. This symbolizes lightness, reflecting our yogurt's low fat content and its suitability for a healthy diet. Additionally, the bunny appeals to children, who are a primary demographic for Lulu yogurt. The name "Lulu" itself was chosen to resonate with kids and their ability to spell, as it is simple to remember, spell, and read on packaging and advertisements. For the packaging design, we highlighted the key ingredients by featuring images of bananas, strawberries, and apples on each container, allowing consumers to easily recognize the flavors. Since the product lacks a label around the packaging, we needed to creatively include all necessary information and design elements on the top cap. We successfully achieved this while maintaining a clean design, avoiding clutter from text, visuals, and colors. Speaking of colors, traditional yogurt designs often use bright, bold hues to attract attention and encourage purchases. However, our team opted for a different approach, viewing yogurt as a gentle and soothing product. Therefore, we selected pastel shades like blue, yellow, and green for our design.
