Charting the Course for Margaritaville at Sea

Margaritaville at Sea

In a highly competitive market, Margaritaville aimed to stand out by launching a 3-day, 2-night cruise from Florida to Grand Bahama Island. We faced competition from cruise lines that had strong brand loyalties, larger marketing budgets, and a wider variety of ships and destinations. Mighty Roar's challenge was to integrate the Margaritaville brand into the cruise experience, create a social community from scratch, and promote repeat bookings. Our efforts were acknowledged with three W3 Awards for Best Social Presence, Best Use of User-Generated Content, and Best Social Content & Marketing in the Travel Industry. Oregon Community Credit Union

Visit https://www.mightyroar.com/work/occu-branding to read the case study. Oregon Community Credit Union approached us with the task of revitalizing their brand, which has been around for over 60 years, in a manner that appeals to younger, Millennial members while still retaining their older clientele. **Our Strategy:** We initiated the project with a discovery phase that involved conducting in-person interviews with key stakeholders and performing competitive analysis on six primary rivals. With this information, our creative team generated three brand concepts for OCCU to consider, each outlining the rationale behind the chosen color palette, typography, imagery, tone of voice, and examples of how these concepts would manifest in advertisements or marketing materials. For the logo redesign, we utilized a method that has proven effective with past clients by engaging stakeholders in a logo exercise. From this, we learned that OCCU desired to abbreviate their name to "OCCU," modernize their logo, while preserving elements of the traditional diamond mark that longtime OCCU members and employees are familiar with. **Our Solution:** We recognized the importance of creating a logo that was simple enough for both print and web applications, while also being scalable for mobile use. In addition to the logo redesign, we revised OCCU’s tagline from “Nice. Remarkably Nice.” to “It’s different here.” to more accurately capture OCCU’s commitment to exceptional service and the strong community sentiment shared by OCCU and the people of Oregon.

Savannah Music Festival Brand Refresh

Unknown

Check out the case study at https://www.mightyroar.com/work/savannah-music-festival-branding. The Challenge For over 32 years, the Savannah Music Festival (SMF) has celebrated global music culture in Georgia’s most historic city. Spanning 17 days and featuring various genres, it stands out as a unique festival worldwide. Unlike typical events that often involve open fields, large crowds, beer tents, and portable restrooms, the SMF offers a more refined experience. When they approached us, their audience was limited in scope and only grew moderately over time. As the festival progressed, so did the age of its attendees, with the average ticket buyer being 57 years old at the start of our project. The board asked us to engage a younger audience. Our task was to refresh the logo to make it appear less outdated and to develop a tagline that differentiates SMF from other festivals. The festival's name inaccurately implies that musical talent is exclusive to Savannah; in reality, the historic city serves merely as a backdrop for talent from around the globe, including the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Our Solution We created a logo system featuring the stylized silhouette of an orchestral string instrument common across various music genres. The design also cleverly integrated a hidden ‘S’ representing the festival's location. A concise six-word tagline highlighted the city as a distinctive venue for a diverse world of music. The new logo and tagline were used in a wide array of elegant promotional materials and giveaways aimed at both dedicated patrons and newcomers to the festival.
