I am a software engineer with more than 25 years of experience in creating scalable and high-performance websites. My interests lie in development using technologies like PHP, Python, Perl, MySQL, Oracle, and Apache. For a decade, I was the Co-founder and CTO of Sickweather, Inc., where I oversaw the strategic planning and implementation of our entire IT system, including our highly scalable commercial REST API, data science teams, both public and private APIs, and our database infrastructure. Our Sickweather REST API successfully facilitated data collection and distribution with multiple third-party sources and handled continuous traffic of up to 30,000 simultaneous hits per second. I have also contributed to notable public projects such as back-end development for Educate.com, Nature.com, and LoanOfficer.com, as well as projects for the National Institute of Health and Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, I have developed intranets for automotive companies like Honda, Acura, BMW, Audi, and Mini, along with bespoke sites for various privately owned businesses. I have been a featured speaker at numerous technology conferences, including Ernst & Young's 2012 Life Sciences Summit.
