Inspiring a new generation of fintech developers
Finastra has launched an innovative platform, FusionFabric.cloud, which offers developers within banks and fintech companies the opportunity to fundamentally enhance and transform financial services globally. To foster adoption, it was crucial to engage developers by raising awareness about this new platform, its tools, and API offerings, thereby encouraging the creation of a new wave of financial applications. Metia, with its extensive background in developing and managing developer experience programs for major tech firms, provided valuable insights and expertise to the Finastra team. By identifying key developer segments critical for adoption, Metia collaborated with Finastra’s product, partner, and marketing teams to develop and refine an engagement strategy that improved the overall developer experience. At the Money2020 event, Metia assisted Finastra with generating platform and user-related content in preparation for the Amsterdam launch, which included keynote speeches and a Street Party that attracted over 5,000 attendees. Following the event, continued momentum was maintained through a communications strategy targeting developer and technology-specific media, channels, and forums. Working alongside Finastra’s technical specialists, Metia contributed to producing content for leading developer publications such as Information Week, DZone, DevOps.com, SD Times, and Information Age. Finastra's experts are now recognized authorities on subjects like DevOps, software development practices, and systems architecture. In May 2019, to provide developers with direct access to the platform and APIs, the FusionONE developer conference was launched in London, where Metia aided in event ideation, messaging, thought leadership presentations, media management, and news coverage. The event drew over 550 developers and business leaders. As interest from bank and fintech developers increases, the FusionONE experience is being expanded globally through a series of local events and hackathons.
