METECS is an engineering and applied technology firm with a rich history of delivering high-quality simulation, software, robotics, and analytical services to a diverse range of sectors, including aerospace, agriculture, energy, construction, and marketing. Since the inception of virtual reality, METECS has been involved in creating graphics and astronaut training simulations for NASA. Nearly all NASA astronauts have utilized our simulations as part of their training regimen. Our simulation and software products are utilized in various NASA facilities, including on the International Space Station. On Earth, we leverage our expertise and proprietary software to create outstanding immersive applications. Our projects have spanned collaborative events, conferences, museum displays, language education, equipment operation training, and procedural instruction. We possess specialized capabilities in integrating custom hardware into VR and AR simulations, and we are experienced with devices such as VIVE, Meta (Quest), Realwear, Apple Vision Pro, as well as bespoke mobile/tablet and web applications. In 2024, METECS received a Telly award for its innovative use of immersive 360 video in the "McDonogh 19 Historic Transformation" project, which showcased the school’s crucial involvement in the 1960s desegregation movement through a 360 video experience presented via a Quest 3 headset.
