Alllocate Plus Student Module - UI/UX Design

JDR Software Allocate Plus

Allocate Plus is an online class allocation and management system utilized by many universities across Australia and New Zealand. It streamlines class registration, allowing students to create schedules, specify preferences, and secure class times that suit their personal commitments. Media Shark was hired to revamp the entire student module interface, concentrating on user experience, device compatibility, and accessibility to meet WCAG 2.1 standards. The project kicked off with in-depth user research and discussions with stakeholders to identify workflows, challenges, and needs. We established a strong information architecture and a comprehensive design system grounded in contemporary design principles. Time was of the essence since the client had a focus group planned, necessitating the swift delivery of initial ideas and prototypes. Following our presentation of early concepts and low-fidelity prototypes at the client's focus group in Sydney, our UI/UX team proceeded to develop high-fidelity prototypes for both the website and mobile application. These prototypes were influenced by the new design system, information architecture, and accessibility standards. **Enhanced User Interface:** The updated design features a modern, clean aesthetic, with a unified design language and color palette. **Improved Navigation and Streamlined Workflows:** The menu structures have been simplified, allowing for intuitive navigation paths and breadcrumbs. **Responsive Design:** Tailored for a variety of devices and screen sizes, ensuring a fluid experience with layouts suitable for mobile and touch interactions. **Enhanced Accessibility:** Achieves full compliance with WCAG 2.1, incorporating features like keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, high contrast modes, and text resizing options. The outcome is a newly designed interface for the Allocate Plus student module, which will be developed by the client’s internal development team.

Foxy Home Staging is an innovative software solution tailored to tackle the challenges of warehouse inventory management through advanced technology and an easy-to-use interface. It streamlines business operations by improving the efficiency of inventory tracking. We carried out thorough user research and stakeholder interviews to grasp workflows and identify problem areas. A visit to the site offered valuable insights into existing processes, which shaped our strategy for shifting from manual tasks to automated systems. We created a comprehensive design system to maintain consistency and scalability throughout the application. High-fidelity prototypes were continually improved based on feedback from clients and users, with an emphasis on intuitive design and efficient workflows. Using agile methodologies, we launched Foxy Home Staging across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. Three responsive web applications are designed for different user roles: Super Administrator, Senior Stylist, and Logistics/Stylists. These applications offer features for real-time inventory monitoring, order management, reporting, and user access management. They provide live updates on stock levels, transactions, and statuses to help avoid stockouts, while also facilitating efficient processing from creation to fulfillment, thus enhancing overall efficiency and customer satisfaction. There are robust reporting and analytics tools for assessing inventory performance and operational effectiveness, along with administrative functions that ensure secure and accountable role-based access. The user-friendly interface and optimized workflows empower warehouse employees, reducing errors and speeding up response times. With real-time tracking and reporting capabilities, organizations can make informed decisions, while the scalable architecture accommodates future expansion and customization. Foxy Home Staging transforms warehouse inventory management with its adaptable and accessible solution, enabling businesses to enhance operations, boost productivity, and stay competitive in today’s fast-paced market.
