Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is a prominent, independent non-profit organization focused on ocean research, exploration, and education. Marquis was commissioned to design a new logo and an extensive brand identity for this Cape Cod-based institution. This globally recognized organization aimed to update and modernize its traditional identity to enhance public awareness of its work and impact on the planet, establish a cohesive brand system for all departments, and appeal to a wider audience across the U.S. and internationally. The new logo features a design that blends elements of the past and present. The outer shapes symbolize the three components of their new tagline: Our Ocean, Our Planet, Our Future, while the negative space within the logo resembles a sail, referencing their original research vessel, The Atlantic. The logo was developed as a responsive system to ensure versatility across various digital and print applications. In addition to the logo, Marquis crafted a complete brand identity system for the institution, which includes detailed brand guidelines and a set of initial branded materials to assist their internal communication teams and facilitate the creation of consistent branding over time.

Fenway Park Events Brand Identity & Collateral

Red Sox / Fenway Park Events

The Boston Red Sox/Fenway Enterprises partnered with Marquis to create a new identity and primary sales materials for their events division at Fenway Park. To attract their upscale corporate and individual clientele, we designed a 20-page detailed brochure featuring a pocket at the back for business cards and customized inserts. We oversaw a week-long photoshoot to capture the breathtaking visuals of Fenway Park, employing unique papers and printing methods to convey the park's rich history and textures, enhancing the piece's exclusivity. Additionally, we developed a digital version for the sales team to distribute via email.

Fresenius Medical Care Annual Medical Report

Fresenius Medical Care

Fresenius Medical Care, the premier global provider of kidney care and dialysis services, has collaborated with Marquis for several years to create its Global Annual Medical Report. This publication, featuring research and thought leadership, is shared worldwide with top executives, physicians, scientists, and researchers within the organization, as well as with external stakeholders interested in improving care for kidney patients. Last year, the report's overall concept and design, rich in infographics, highlighted the “Power of Ideas” and the company’s significant contributions to innovation, sustainability, and value-based healthcare across the globe. The report consists of over 100 pages, is perfect bound, printed on a co-cure press, and features a soft touch coating with a raised UV overlay on the cover. Our ongoing collaboration with Fresenius Medical Care has also included brand development initiatives for its North American division and the Global Medical Office over the years.
