Beata Heuman stands out as one of the most accomplished and in-demand interior designers in the UK. After honing her skills under the legendary Nicky Haslam, she launched her own interiors business in 2013. Since then, her standing as one of the most innovative interior designers in the country has skyrocketed. Her "playful and original" designs have been featured in several notable publications, including House and Home, The Sunday Times, and Vogue UK. In 2018, she was honored with House and Garden’s first-ever Interior Designer of the Year award. Beata's talented team of designers provided us with initial concepts, which we refined and transformed into an actionable design for a custom Shopify theme. We migrated the entire product inventory from Umbraco to the new Shoppa site and expanded the product range. We set up SKUs and pricing, then integrated the system with their financial platform to enable the admin team to monitor essential financial metrics, inventory levels, and invoices. Beata Heuman continues to produce outstanding interior and product design. We take pride in having assisted her in advancing her online presence into a comprehensive e-commerce platform, resulting in significant growth and enhanced revenue.

Healthy Back Bag E-Commerce Store

In 2018, following years of steady growth and product development, Healthy Back Bag initiated an exciting brand refresh that involved completely overhauling their e-commerce website. The company tasked us with merging its three existing websites into a single comprehensive e-commerce platform. This new site needed to offer e-commerce functionality for consumers and essential resources for trade users through a File Management System. It required a greater level of automation than previous versions, along with enhanced integration with third-party services. Additionally, the site needed to empower the client’s team with substantial control over page layouts and content for managing information and marketing campaigns. Such a technically intricate project necessitated a methodical approach. The initial step was a thorough analysis of Healthy Back Bag’s current websites and internal operations. We took time to identify the problems with the existing platforms and examined the company’s internal workings, including staff operations and interactions with its third-party logistics (3PL) partner. We meticulously reviewed every detail, from data flow to financial systems and the organization of product categories. Healthy Back Bag launched the new website alongside the brand relaunch, and it was met with great enthusiasm. Since the launch, the site has steadily drawn in more customers and improved conversion rates each month. In the year following the launch, we have also received positive feedback from users, as we continuously integrate suggestions from their dedicated fans into the site.

Rebranding a medicinal label as a fashion entity. In 2018, following years of steady growth and development, Healthy Back Bag sought a fresh and engaging brand update driven by consumer insights. The problem was that Healthy Back Bag was perceived as a medical product. However, as we became more familiar with the company, we realized that this viewpoint underestimated their potential. While Healthy Back Bags offer excellent back support, they are also visually appealing. To propel the brand forward, we suggested that Healthy Back Bag evolve into a fashion brand that maintains its health advantages. To uncover their true identity and brand essence, Healthy Back Bag conducted comprehensive market research and customer interviews. Researchers explored what Healthy Back Bag signifies to customers, as well as their perceptions of the brand. Would our belief that Healthy Back Bag was a fashion brand constrained by a medical image resonate with customers? It soon became clear that Healthy Back Bag represented different things to various individuals. After hosting a two-day brand workshop, three key themes emerged in discussions. We recommended using abstract visuals that convey the idea of balance without explicitly revealing the product. To capture the 'beautiful' aspect, we incorporated bold, solid colors inspired by the innovative and vibrant designs of Healthy Back Bags. The new art direction would be implemented in their product photography and studio shoots. We created a fashion branding guide and shared it with the Healthy Back Bag team and partners, including their global distributors and retailers. This ensured consistency across all their materials, from digital platforms to point-of-sale displays.
