Digital tools to support African business

Unknown

widu.africa is a digital platform designed to streamline, monitor, and subsidize small business investments between Europe and Africa. Unlike traditional channels, private remittances intended for business growth in Africa are not routed through governments or private entities, leading to a lack of tracking. This results in an absence of statistics and data, which means missed opportunities to effectively support small local enterprises. It's estimated that this market is worth 430 billion US dollars globally, with 46 billion directed to sub-Saharan Africa. Girls’ Rights Platform: Teaming Up With Plan International

Unknown

In 2017, Plan invited us to facilitate a workshop where we learned about their objectives and ambitions. It became evident that they have a bold project in mind. We departed from Geneva fully aligned with their goals, confident in our ability to help them communicate their message and ultimately improve the circumstances of girls worldwide. The Girls’ Rights Platform features four key components: "Database," "Reports and Factsheets," "Quiz," and "Debate Watch." The “Database,” which is the core of this platform, serves as the most extensive human rights database focused specifically on girls’ rights. We organized the text of the documents to enable users to easily navigate the extensive database and find the information they need. The primary functions of the database include streamlining negotiation processes, fact-checking, safeguarding negotiated outcomes, and enhancing the clarity of legal language. The second component, "Reports and Factsheets," consolidates Plan’s publications and documents in one location, allowing users to read brief summaries or download complete reports in all available languages. Environment, Conflict and Cooperation

Unknown

As climate change increasingly emerges as a significant catalyst for global conflict, the need for extensive resources that enhance climate diplomacy, environmental security, and sustainable peace on an international scale is growing. The Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation Platform (ECC), with support from the German Federal Foreign Office, serves as a hub for facilitating dialogue and promoting sustainable peace. It connects stakeholders from development, economics, environmental sectors, as well as foreign and security communities around the globe.
