MG Cyberster
As part of our ongoing services for MG Motors UK, we introduced the MG Cyberster. The challenge was that MG is commemorating its centenary with the release of the world's first all-electric roadster. The MG Cyberster is a visually striking electric vehicle set to evoke the excitement of MG's historic sports cars. With its launch scheduled for summer 2024, MG aimed to create an exceptional digital experience to generate excitement and allow customers to configure and pre-order their Cyberster. The tight timeline meant we had just four weeks to go live!
To tackle this project, we engaged in thorough strategic planning, product design, user experience design, art direction, and daily teamwork. Since there were no right-hand drive models of the Cyberster in the UK, LoveGunn partnered with 3D designers Tom Day and Ryan Parker to create a model of the MG Cyberster. This collaboration enabled us to produce over 400 images showcasing the roadster in two models, five colors, and various interior and roof trim styles in diverse settings.
Our strategic vision for the website and configurator mirrored the car's design, emphasizing speed. The platform allows customers to easily select motor, paint, and trim options to configure their ideal vehicle. Working closely with web developers Psycle and our 3D designers, LoveGunn established a clear project plan and strategy to ensure we met the pre-launch deadline. This included daily stand-ups across the agency, dedicated Slack channels, and relocating the LoveGunn project team to MG's headquarters in Marylebone, London.
