Digital transformation drives global manufacturer

Unknown

Summary: Lake One collaborated with Polywater® to introduce sales and marketing technology aimed at automating and streamlining the manufacturer’s intricate and manual sales processes. Background: Polywater Corporation is a global manufacturer specializing in chemical products for the electrical and communications sectors. Their clients utilize Polywater’s products to effectively address specific infrastructure challenges in the field. The company sells its products through distributors and resellers. The Challenge: Stuck with outdated software, Polywater, like many manufacturers, struggled to embrace a digital sales and marketing strategy. Most of their business development relied on face-to-face meetings, and their sales process was lengthy and complicated. Additionally, marketing efforts were made more difficult due to a complex network of global territories and relationships with representatives and distributors. Lacking a modern customer relationship management (CRM) system, the inside sales team managed prospect and customer data manually. Polywater also lacked the technology necessary to implement an effective and measurable marketing program or to synchronize its sales and marketing initiatives. They initially brought in Lake One to assist with transitioning from their outdated on-premise CRM system. Besides the technology upgrade, Polywater required a more efficient method to manage leads generated by their proprietary software, Pull-Planner™, which helps users perform complex calculations for cable pulling projects. The process of updating information on software downloads, versions, and keys was a manual task for the inside sales team. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it halted all in-person business development, intensifying the company’s need for digital transformation. Health services org lands $700k from inbound

Unknown

**Background** NeoPath Health provides onsite health clinics for organizations, creating and equipping these facilities with skilled medical professionals for employee primary care. **Challenge** The company aimed to capture demand, qualify leads, and expand its limited sales resources. NeoPath targets mid-market employers who have the budget and interest in establishing onsite or near-site primary care clinics. While these employers may not be actively searching for clinics, they are certainly exploring innovative solutions to healthcare issues. The small size of NeoPath's sales team meant they couldn't dedicate time to developing new opportunities, focusing instead on relationships with brokers who could provide immediate prospects. With low inbound traffic and demand, NeoPath required support to address these challenges. As a result, NeoPath quickly observed an increase in traffic. Even with a sales cycle that can extend over several years, the company has experienced a positive return on its marketing investment, closing revenue sourced from marketing efforts and managing a pipeline robust with marketing qualified opportunities. This enables the sales team to maintain oversight of long-term opportunities while new leads are automatically qualified and added to the pipeline. **Measured results include:** Read the full case study: https://lakeonedigital.com/success-stories/sales-and-marketing-alignment/

Community bank energizes online presence

Unknown

Occasionally, a marketing agency encounters a potential client that feels like a perfect fit, and for us, that client was Boundary Waters Bank. Named after a well-known entry point to the boundary waters, we were excited about this opportunity. Boundary Waters Bank exemplifies Lake One’s Fractional CMO collaborations. We teamed up with Authentic Brand, which appointed a Fractional CMO to elevate the regional bank's marketing efforts. Website Revamp One of the initial steps in this process was refreshing a dated online presence. “We needed our site to be more user-friendly for both our customers and employees…,” says Nina Bowen, Vice President at Boundary Waters Bank. “Additionally, we sought a more modern and creative identity,” she notes. Previously, the website was managed by a third-party vendor, limiting the bank's control over its design and operations. Furthermore, the team required a quick turnaround. Lake One collaborated with Boundary Waters Bank to create a self-managed and hosted website in approximately 12 weeks. The design process started by updating the bank’s iconic loon logo. Since the new site launched, Bowen remarked, “Our customers love the appearance and usability of our new site! Although change can be a bit intimidating initially, they have responded positively! Lake One made the design and execution of this project incredibly manageable. We worked with a very tight deadline, yet they committed their full effort! Their familiarity with the Boundary Waters and Ely, MN allowed them to connect with us personally, which was evident in their work. They helped us stay on schedule, and the communication was outstanding!” Nina Bowen, Vice President, Boundary Waters Bank.
