I serve as the Project Management Head at a company specializing in healthcare practice management solutions. **OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE** For which projects or services did your company engage Koru UX Design? We aimed to transition our existing EHR system to a cloud-based platform. What were your objectives for this initiative? Our goal was to integrate public health and patient engagement into a seamless user experience that operates across various devices and platforms. **SOLUTION** How did you choose this vendor? We've had a long-standing partnership with Koru UX Design that has consistently yielded excellent results, making them a natural choice for this project as well. Can you elaborate on the project? We intended to broaden the reach and accessibility of our system to enhance collaboration among physicians, staff, and patients, ultimately improving care coordination. The system needed to comply with HIPAA regulations and implement a robust encryption protocol to protect sensitive information. Additionally, we aimed to minimize the frequency of manual updates and reduce operational costs. What was the team composition? I value their practice of assigning a project Point of Contact (POC), which facilitated effective two-way communication and made interactions smooth. However, I am unaware of their internal team structure. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK** Can you share any results from the project that highlight its success or progress? We conducted a trial of the new web-based system and were pleased with the results. The enhanced accessibility allowed doctors and patients to connect more easily. Both doctors and nurses found they could optimize their time since the web application was accessible across devices, 24/7. Data security was strengthened, which was a legal necessity. How smoothly did the collaboration go between your team and theirs? Similar to our previous projects, this collaboration went smoothly as well. They have developed an effective communication system through the use of top project management tools. Having worked together before helped our teams synchronize their working styles effectively. What impressed you most about this company? Their dedication is truly commendable. Although we encountered several challenges and disagreements, which are normal in design and development projects, they managed these situations exceptionally well. Are there areas that could be improved? Working with Koru UX Design was fantastic. They are a team of enthusiastic professionals, and I hope they continue their excellent work.
