CentreCorp Mobile Tablet Application

Unknown

CentreCorp, a company specializing in property management and real estate services, approached Konverge to enhance their existing property viewing system. This platform is utilized during meetings with potential tenants to present properties that might be of interest for leasing commercial spaces. The application required enhancements to improve CentreCorp’s business operations. They sought a solution that would allow them to manage the application internally while minimizing the time and outside resources needed, as well as incorporating new features. CentreCorp's process necessitated providing sales representatives with up-to-date and accurate property and leasing details for prospective tenants. However, they had to rely on a third-party service to manage and modify the application, which was both time-consuming and expensive. Konverge empowered CentreCorp by developing an application that grants them complete administrative control, enabling them to create and update property pages without third-party intervention. Additionally, the new application includes features that allow users to annotate site plans and access nearby points of interest via Google Maps integration. Since the application is tablet-based, agents can now showcase properties to clients anytime and anywhere. The goal of CentreCorp’s property pages is to give potential tenants a comprehensive overview of each property, including information on location, neighboring tenants, nearby points of interest, and demographics related to the tenants' target market. Now, CentreCorp can offer prospective tenants more information than ever before through the mobile application.

The Sandvik Inspection & Audit System

Unknown

Sandvik Mining Systems struggled to standardize and organize their inspection and audit data for Bulk Material Handling Machines and large mining equipment, which are crucial for managing the collection and transport of bulk materials like coal, ore, and overburden from the mine to storage facilities. These machines are essential in the mining industry, and their downtime can result in significant financial losses due to lost revenue and repair costs. Previously, Sandvik relied on manual inspections using paper and pen, but this method proved inadequate for the large number of inspection points associated with their equipment. To address this, Konverge collaborated with Sandvik to create an Enterprise Audit System that enabled a standardized global approach for inspecting and auditing all Bulk Handling Equipment in Market Operations Areas. This global initiative has allowed Sandvik to store all inspection data securely on their servers. The project has since expanded to include inspections of all their equipment. With the new system in place, Sandvik has transitioned from manual inspection processes to digital documentation, allowing for better organization of inspection information, instant report generation, and enhanced control over equipment maintenance and condition. The solution enables the administration team to create standardized inspection forms that incorporate industry standards for swift, consistent, and compliant evaluations.

The CSA Group E-Reader

Unknown

CSA Group offers over 3,000 established standards and codes, alongside a catalog of more than 30,000 ISO and IEC standards, as well as a comprehensive range of training manuals and guides. They provide their publications in PDF format via their website. However, converting PDFs to a web-friendly format is challenging and does not display well across different devices and screen sizes. Once a PDF is downloaded, the publisher loses control over its usage and distribution, leading to open distribution that can result in lost sales and copyright violations. To improve their service, CSA Group sought to make their publications available in EPUB format through a specially developed e-reader. The EPUB format supports features like video embedding, audio, and calculators, which would enhance the experience for CSA Group’s customers. To fulfill customer needs, the e-reader needed to operate across various platforms, including web, desktop (OS X and Windows), and mobile (iOS and Android devices). Basic e-readers typically allow only reading capabilities. In contrast, CSA Group's customers are accustomed to functionalities such as searching, bookmarking, and highlighting when using Adobe PDF Reader. Konverge ensured that these features were incorporated into the e-reader. Furthermore, Konverge enabled the inclusion of additional content in the publications via pop-ups, videos, and audio. With integrated copyright protection and single sign-on security, CSA Group regained control over their publications, alleviating concerns related to the use, modification, and distribution of their copyrighted materials.
