Hello! I’m Kate. I’ve been working in design for around five years now, focusing mainly on illustrations and logo/branding projects. I particularly enjoy projects that have a unique or unconventional twist. The food and beverage industry holds a special significance for me, as I used to be a cook in my youth and, naturally, I have a passion for food! Additionally, I spent the last three years as the lead designer for a restaurant group in Southern California.

Kate Libby, a Southern Maine native, combines her diverse experiences and passions into her graphic design and illustration work. Raised amidst the charm of fleeting summers, fresh seafood, and snowy winters, Kate's journey includes surviving the Great Ice Storm of '98 and studying at the Maine College of Art before switching to earn a Bachelor's in English. After applying her degree in culinary settings and seeking a career with more fulfillment, she embraced her love for hand-drawn art. Her designs reflect influences like mortality, the essence of working waterfronts, and womanhood, delivering authentic, relatable illustrations. Kate lives with her daughter Scout, a mischievous dog, and her nihilist husband, embodying a life rich with character and creativity.
