Rebel Queen

Susan Polgar, a former Chess World Champion from 1996 to 1999, approached me for a new branding concept inspired by her journey of struggle, perseverance, and resilience as a young girl growing up in a communist regime. In this environment, male authorities belittled female chess players who posed a threat to their power and pride, a story that is rooted in her book, "Rebel Queen," which is set to release on March 11th in New York City. I aimed for the logo to reflect this edgy, dynamic, and bold experience by incorporating a cursive font and colors that resonate with the book, accented with gold to convey elegance and strength. After three design iterations, we finalized this logo, with the crown complementing the cursive font in both style and function.

The Artist Lives

Andrea, the founder of the non-profit organization "The Artist Lives," reached out to me for a complimentary design consultation. After hearing her heartfelt story and the experiences that led her to establish this organization, I was fully committed to being her designer. I aimed to create a logo that she would take pride in. This organization honors artists of all ages who have passed away without having the opportunity to showcase their art and creations. I envisioned an inspiring and impactful logo that captured the enduring spirit of their lives and work. My concept centered around a silhouette logo depicting an artist reaching for the heavens, with light and energy radiating from the heart, soul, and spirit. The colors of the earth and sun were chosen to evoke a spiritual essence that embodies this power.

Kristin contacted me to design a logo for her website design brand, which focuses on mental health professionals. The design consultation provided valuable insights into her vision and desired aesthetic. I took that information and began crafting a distinctive logo that would resonate with her audience. During the process, I made adjustments, adding and removing different elements (the dots around the neck area were a last-minute addition inspired by digital designs) until the overall design came together seamlessly. After six stages and more than 100 variations, I completed the final logo, which earned the "Best Logo Design" award in March 2022.
