ABOUT JO-HUKUMEnsure quality, commitment & customer satisfaction
Let me share a brief story that inspired the idea. During a trip, I struggled to locate nearby services such as hotels and restaurants since I wasn't familiar with the area. While Google Maps indicated some local businesses, filtering them based on my budget and needs was quite challenging. This sparked an idea: what if there was a platform that could display nearby services and businesses tailored to my requirements? Not only would it show options, but it would also allow users to make purchases, book appointments, or rent items. Thus, "Jo-Hukum," meaning "As you wish," was born.
However, the project faced significant hurdles, including the need for a vast amount of authentic data, a robust search system to navigate through it, and a user-friendly interface. Inspired by the success of platforms like Gojek in Indonesia and JustDial in India, we began addressing these challenges in 2018. By 2020, we had gathered over 100,000 verified unique business listings. After much effort and a small team, we launched our minimum viable product in June 2021, complete with a scalable infrastructure and a rich database.
Now, users can efficiently find even the smallest local businesses, view their offerings, hours, and more. Business owners can also access behavioral analytics from the platform to help grow and promote their ventures. You can explore the platform by visiting jo-hukum.com or by downloading the "jo-hukum" app from the Play Store. We aim to expand our offerings by incorporating various services such as booking, renting, e-commerce, and online delivery, ultimately creating a Super App that provides an all-in-one solution for the 120 million internet users in Bangladesh—unlike any other platform available.
