Jim Byrne, an award-winning expert based in Glasgow, specializes in WCAG 2 website accessibility auditing for the third sector, including charities, social enterprises, and public organizations across the UK. His passion for digital inclusion began in the early 1990s while supporting disabled individuals re-entering work, witnessing firsthand the barriers they face. In 1996, he founded The Making Connections Unit at Glasgow Caledonian University, offering free advice to nonprofits on accessible digital content. Since 2003, he has provided bespoke accessibility auditing, consultancy, and online training to help organizations meet legal requirements under the Equality Act 2010.
