Fabletics HQ Branded Environment

Jacknife was engaged to bring Fabletics' new headquarters in Los Angeles to life. Recognizing Fabletics' commitment to inclusivity, approachability, and inspiration, we adopted the central theme of ‘Super-Charged Simplicity.’ Our task was to create a well-designed environment that harmonizes and enhances the vibrant personalities, bold colors, and intricate patterns, allowing both the team and the products to stand out. We aimed to maintain an energetic forefront while establishing a neutral backdrop filled with elements waiting to be discovered, all while navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic. The layout of the space mirrored Fabletics’ design principles of power, movement, and flow. Utilizing the lofty 17-foot ceilings and abundant natural light, we set about crafting linework and patterns inspired by the production process. Features such as cuts, seams, straps, and textured fabrics from Fabletics’ athletic wear are echoed throughout the campus, from solid walls to glass surfaces. We also commissioned two lively string art installations that seem to move dynamically, brought to life by the flow of people and the shifting sunlight streaming through the many windows. Each visit offers a distinct experience, embodying Fabletics' kinetic energy. In less naturally illuminated areas, we transformed the Origin Hallway with 10-foot lightboxes that celebrate Fabletics’ brand ambassador team and convey brand messaging. Inspired by Lizzo’s new shapewear line, Yitty, we created two prominent installations—a 15-foot infinity mirror and a raised wall featuring Lizzo’s signature affirmation. Additionally, a custom graffiti mural was designed for The Town Hall, serving as their office social hub. Despite designing from over 3500 kilometers away, Jacknife effectively utilized photos, video footage, and floor plans to oversee the design, construction, and production process remotely.

Alphabyte Rebrand

As a data analytics company, the brand and website content can feel tedious and overwhelming. Our goal was to "Simplify the Complex" by creating a new design system and website that were more inviting and effectively communicated their values and services. Our visual and content strategy aimed to showcase Alphabyte Solutions' proven expertise, personal touch, and composed approach to data-driven business solutions. The final design is modern, sleek, and user-friendly, consistently applied across all consumer interactions—from the website experience to investor presentations and business materials. The client was actively involved and enthusiastic throughout the project, expressing satisfaction with how we represented Alphabyte Solutions' ability to drive meaningful change and enhance their clients' businesses.

Georgian Rebrand

Toronto-based venture capital firm Georgian Partners sought to refresh their brand and returned to Jacknife for a second collaboration. Our initial engagement years prior focused on enhancing their brand's reach to promising growth-stage prospects by connecting with them through their language and online behaviors. Since then, Georgian has significantly expanded, continuing to work with leading growth-stage tech companies while developing a data-driven platform aimed at addressing key challenges faced by CEOs as they scale their businesses. With further growth on the horizon, they needed to internally unify their vision and communicate it in a way that would resonate with external stakeholders. Through a series of interviews with stakeholders and category reviews, we determined that Georgian was not an ordinary VC. Founded by former software entrepreneurs, they had a unique understanding of their audience and connected with them in a manner that other VCs could not—because they had been in their shoes. Their operations mirrored those of the companies they partnered with, including their processes, culture, and organizational structure. It was essential for their branding to reflect this alignment as well. A thoughtful name change from "Georgian Partners" to "Georgian" set the foundation for the firm to reposition itself within the VC space as a fintech entity. In representing this new identity visually, we avoided overly corporate or investment-focused designs, opting instead for a more accessible and innovative aesthetic. We developed organic shapes inspired by a fundamental 'G' monogram, creating a modular design system that could evolve alongside Georgian’s growth. We also designed an entirely new website featuring a custom icon set to illustrate various features, which could be used in ongoing marketing materials. Ultimately, this endeavor prompted Georgian to rethink their future strategies, resulting in a distinctive brand that continues to draw in top-tier companies.
