Hope’s Home, a nonprofit that offers inclusive childcare and medical services for children in Saskatchewan, Canada, encountered significant financial management difficulties due to its outdated accounting system. As the organization grew, reliance on manual data entry, paper-based approvals, and disjointed reporting tools led to inefficiencies and a lack of real-time insights into financial performance. To resolve these challenges, Hope’s Home collaborated with IWI Consulting Group, a certified Sage Intacct consulting and implementation partner in Canada. IWI aimed to upgrade the organization’s finance and accounting systems by transitioning from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct Cloud ERP, providing a unified, paperless, and scalable solution tailored for nonprofits. The project commenced with a comprehensive assessment of needs and process mapping to pinpoint operational obstacles and compliance requirements. IWI crafted an implementation roadmap that automated procurement approvals, established digital expense tracking, and created centralized reporting dashboards. By utilizing Sage Intacct Core Financials, IWI assisted Hope’s Home in consolidating accounting across multiple locations, enhancing audit preparedness, and streamlining budgeting and expense management. This initiative resulted in a complete digital overhaul of Hope’s Home’s finance department. The organization now enjoys real-time insights into expenditures across different locations, quicker month-end closing processes, and secure sharing of financial information with both internal and external stakeholders. The new system minimized manual labor, eliminated paper usage, and improved accountability—critical for nonprofits with constrained resources. MLW Foods – Sage X3 ERP Implementation

MLW Foods

MLW Foods, a prominent Canadian producer and distributor of frozen Asian-style meals under the renowned Wong Wing brand, urgently required a new ERP system following its separation from its previous parent company. After being acquired from McCain Foods in 2021, MLW Foods lost access to SAP and faced a challenging timeline to set up its own financial and operational frameworks. To address this situation, the company collaborated with IWI Consulting Group, a certified Sage X3 implementation partner, to install a state-of-the-art ERP solution tailored for process manufacturing. IWI facilitated a comprehensive ERP rollout, suggesting a virtual private server configuration to enhance security and scalability. The implementation, which encompassed financials, distribution, and manufacturing, was accomplished in just ten months, achieving full functionality and a swift return on investment. By transitioning from SAP to Sage X3 and Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI), MLW Foods realized annual savings of 20–30% in system and infrastructure costs. The company also consolidated data access and analytics within Sage X3, eliminating the need for separate warehouse management and business intelligence tools. Thanks to SEI dashboards, the finance and operations teams can now analyze profitability by customer and product, monitor promotional activities and freight expenses, and detect trends in real time. IWI further assisted MLW Foods in automating critical manufacturing processes, such as production tracking, inventory scanning, and labeling, which minimized manual errors and enhanced quality control.
