In 2013, ITG Commerce developed the Magento 1 website for Good360 and has provided ongoing support since then. With the end of life for Magento 1 approaching in 2020, Good360 opted to migrate to Magento 2 in order to leverage the latest technologies, specifically utilizing Magento’s new PWA Studio frontend. The project commenced with an onsite discovery session at Good360's headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, where we determined the appropriate technologies and outlined the project timeline. Good360 became an early adopter of PWA Studio with Magento 2 Commerce, making extensive use of B2B features. Given that the nonprofit business model differs from traditional E-Commerce, significant custom development was necessary. The site is fully integrated with Netsuite and employs Guidestar and NCES APIs for nonprofit validation, while also using Cybersource as the payment processor. The outcome is a cutting-edge B2B E-Commerce site that employs the latest technologies, from hosting on AWS to the backend running on the latest version of Magento 2 Commerce and a frontend designed as a progressive web application (PWA).

Bauhaus is a prominent European retail chain specializing in home improvement, gardening, and DIY projects. The name combines the German words "bauen" (to build) and "Haus" (house), and the franchise has over 250 locations across Europe. Bauhaus Hungary had been using Magento 1 since 2015, with ITG Commerce providing support and enhancements throughout that time. For the transition to Magento 2, we utilized the insights gained from years of support to streamline Magento processes and separate functionalities that didn't belong to other systems. With five years of experience from the Magento 1 platform, our objective for Magento 2 was to harness the built-in features of Magento 2 Commerce as much as possible, minimizing the use of third-party extensions to ensure long-term maintainability. We collaborated closely with the client to align processes with Magento's logic and migrate features that weren't closely tied to a shopping cart to specialized systems. Our team developed a standalone logistics software and mobile application for warehouses, which interfaces directly with Magento. We also implemented and customized Unirgy’s uMarketplace Suite to facilitate vendor dropshipping and the pick-up-from-store service at Bauhaus, enabling customers to order and collect products from specific stores. A significant aspect of the project involved integrating with their custom ERP system, as well as with Logistics, Marketing, and Accounting systems through enterprise-level connectors.

ModLi is a modest fashion retailer and marketplace that operates in various countries, featuring hundreds of vendors and over 50,000 products. After using Magento 1 for five years, ModLi approached ITG Commerce to enhance its low mobile conversion rates, improve CMS management, and boost site performance. They sought a flexible partner to undertake the complex task of developing a new webshop using Magento’s PWA Studio. Recognizing that PWA Studio was still under development, we took on the challenge of innovating in several areas. Our objective was to build a modern website utilizing the latest technologies to ensure a seamless user experience. When we initiated the project, Magento’s PWA Studio was in its early stages, necessitating creative solutions to bridge gaps and achieve our goals. Throughout the process, we frequently collaborated and exchanged insights with Magento’s PWA development team. ModLi has a highly intricate product structure that includes multi-color bundles made up of various simple and configurable items, which complicates indexing and makes administrative updates resource-intensive. To address performance issues, we created a custom performance package for PWA Studio using ElasticSearch to enhance both indexing and GraphQL performance. A significant SEO challenge was to provide indexable HTML content for search engines, so in phase 1, we opted for a third-party pre-rendering solution to generate this HTML content. Implementing Google Tag Manager (GTM) involved triggering multiple actions at different events within the single-page application, including user interactions, cart activities, page views, and checkout processes. We developed a custom React component for GTM management. ModLi was among the first to implement multi-language and multi-currency features on PWA Studio, making it accessible in 100 countries with support for 9 different languages and currencies.
