Additionally, they requested the development of an iOS application, a secure connection, and tools for debugging and production. Solution: Our team delivered a solution that enables users to track their pets' precise locations through their smartphones or any web browser. Smart Kiosk is a fridge equipped with Computer Vision technology that facilitates 24/7 product sales, automatically tracking purchases and charging customers accordingly. Description: The Iomico team was tasked with enhancing both the hardware and software components of the solution to better align with market needs. Solution: Collaborating with the client’s team, we chose to create a modular electronics architecture, integrate Computer Vision capabilities leveraging NVIDIA Jetson AI hardware, and upgrade the back-end software. It was decided to overhaul the existing architecture and hardware platform with a new generation of technology. We redesigned the peripheral board to include a larger LCD display, a credit card reader, and an adapter board to connect with the client’s PCBA. On the software side, we developed an embedded Android app that serves as a bridge between the client and the fridge. The main purpose of the app is to facilitate communication between the kiosk and its server: it downloads the product list and prices, transmits the tablet's GCM ID along with the electronic product codes and kiosk status to the restocker, and sends RFID antenna readings, followed by masked Track 1 data once authorization is successful. It also relays the transaction ID from the payment gateway and provides updates on current and previous transactions. Our contributions in Computer Vision for this project are noteworthy. The client requested an additional sensing system alongside RFID, and we opted to implement Computer Vision. This approach is particularly effective with well-defined geometries and structures, but combining it with RFID enhances accuracy. Project Tech Stack: Hardware: MIPI CSI, FPD-Link III, USB, RFID UHF, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, RTSP, RTMP, CMOS, temperature sensor, etc. Software: C++, Java, PostgreSQL, Firebase, QT, RxJava 2, MPAndroidChart, Docker, AWS.

1-. **Project Overview**: The project's foundation is a hardware and firmware solution designed to monitor the movement of bicycles and alert users if it suspects that a bike may be stolen. 2-. **Objectives**: The client set the following goals for the iomico team: - to analyze and enhance the current PCB design; - to plan, design, and develop a firmware MVP (minimum viable product) that fulfills the primary requirements of end users; - to improve power efficiency. 3-. **Methodology**: The iomico team assessed and refined the existing PCB, which consists of the following components: - Nordic nrf9160; - Silicon Labs Bluetooth chip EFR32BG22C112F352GM32-CR; - Accelerometer; - External flash memory; - Fuel-gauge Integrated Circuit. We created firmware from scratch for Bluetooth that incorporates functionalities such as pairing/unpairing/bonding with smartphones, checking the distance to the iPhone during initial connection, and data transfer. The main business logic was executed on the nrf9160. The following features were implemented: 1-. **Theft Detection**: When the bike is in motion, the device activates the Bluetooth module and searches for a nearby paired iPhone. If found, it maintains a connection with the phone while moving. 2-. **Real-time GPS Tracking**: Once theft is confirmed by the user, the device begins transmitting location data to AWS at regular intervals to enable the user to track the bike. 3-. **Power Management**: The device conserves energy by putting the GPS and modem into “sleep” mode when they are not needed. 4-. **Over-the-Air Updates (OTA)**: The device can update the modem and Bluetooth module without user input. There are three tiers of update priority: regular (updates occur only during charging), critical (updates start immediately, excluding inactive devices), and mandatory (updates commence immediately, including inactive devices).
