IMG Helping Hands was founded by Zain Abdin, who transformed his own challenging journey from Pakistan to securing a residency in the American healthcare system into a mission to support international medical graduates (IMGs). Recognizing the increasing hurdles faced by IMGs due to evolving match algorithms, Zain engaged with US healthcare leaders and program directors to establish effective pathways for success. Today, IMG Helping Hands serves as a global community offering resources like podcasts, conferences, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities to IMGs, US medical graduates, and allied health professionals from over 80 countries. With a team comprising former program coordinators, physicians, and experts deeply familiar with the US system, the organization provides tailored guidance, fostering connections and advancing careers within the US healthcare landscape.
