Jadey is a digital platform aimed at assisting cancer patients and their caregivers by offering practical advice, curated products, and a secure community environment. Developed over five months, the website is a fully customized solution using Next.js for the front-end, Sanity CMS for dynamic content management, and Supabase for secure user data and backend operations. Challenge: The objective was to create a comprehensive digital presence from scratch. Patients required an accessible platform to discover products suited to their health needs while also enabling them to compile a personalized list of supportive items that their friends and family could contribute to. Additionally, Jadey aimed to establish a safe environment where patients could share experiences and access reliable articles and medical advice while ensuring a smooth, user-friendly experience and integrating products from various vendors. Goal: The aim was to develop a platform that offers users a seamless and supportive experience. This involved intuitive navigation for product browsing and registry management, easy access to community insights and articles, and a well-structured, scalable architecture capable of accommodating future growth. Post-launch, the platform needed to be maintainable and extendable, allowing Jadey to adapt to users' evolving needs. Solution: We created a headless Next.js website powered by Sanity CMS for dynamic content and Supabase for authentication and registry management. A custom registry system allows patients to select products for their friends and family, while integration with multiple vendors guarantees a smooth e-commerce experience. Jadey fosters a secure, real-time interaction space for users while focusing on performance, accessibility, and scalability.
