It all began with an email from Mr. NoorMohamed Haji Elias, commonly referred to as “Budha Sonara.” He was seeking a website that would reflect the rich heritage of Sonara Budha Jewellers, a family-run business located in Mombasa and Nairobi, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and reliable reputation in gold and silver jewelry. However, their previous website was outdated—slow, cumbersome, and not user-friendly. The first action taken was to move the site to a more efficient and secure host, which was crucial for establishing the trust necessary for online jewelry sales. During the redesign process, I opted for warm, elegant colors and a layout that was both modern and classic, capturing the sophistication of Sonara Budha. My objective was to create a browsing experience that was smooth and welcoming, emphasizing the brand’s legacy while ensuring ease of use. Upon launch, there was an exciting mix of exhilaration and expectation. Almost instantly, the new contact form began receiving inquiries from potential customers, indicating the site was generating interest. It didn't take long for these inquiries to convert into actual sales, marking a significant achievement for Sonara Budha, especially given that many clients typically preferred in-person purchases. Months later, Mr. Noor reported that customers now felt at ease browsing and interacting with the brand online. Together, we had created a website that not only encapsulated the essence of Sonara Budha but also advanced its legacy into the digital realm.

I was privileged to collaborate with Cake Hearts International Hospitality Institute (CIHI) to develop a website that reflects their commitment to excellence in culinary education.
