**Goals** The initial objectives identified were as follows: 1. **Filesharing Consolidation** – The company previously utilized Box, OneDrive, and SharePoint, and decided it was time to streamline their operations by adopting Google Drive as the sole platform for all file storage and collaborative functions. Google Drive includes popular collaboration tools like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, while also accommodating the storage of non-Google files. 2. **Google Meet for Meetings** – With a presence throughout the country, employees at Boston Retail Solutions need an easy way to connect with one another. Google Meet serves as a comprehensive video conferencing solution, offering features like dial-in and dial-out capabilities and screen sharing, making it the perfect choice for the team. 3. **Mobile Device Management** – In today's work environment, remote access is crucial. Therefore, implementing a secure mobile device management solution is imperative. The Boston Retail Solutions team looked forward to utilizing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) to enforce passcodes, manage applications, and instantly wipe company data from devices when necessary. **HiView Delivery** Boston Retail Solutions chose a one-phase deployment strategy due to their confidence in the project's scope and transition. HiView Solutions coordinated the setup and management of mobile devices prior to the deployment of cell phones, ensuring a smooth experience for users transitioning to the new collaboration platform. The project team went live with Google Workspace two weeks ahead of the rest of the employees, allowing them to identify potential issues that informed user and admin training sessions as well as communications. Overall, the deployment was highly successful, with Boston Retail Solutions praising HiView Solutions for delivering the most seamless technology deployment in the company's history.

GoDaddy and Outlook to Google Workspace Migration

The issue faced during the data migration was that the HiView engineer decided to use an IMAP migration method, which meant that either all user passwords had to be reset or the engineer had to contact each user to obtain their passwords. To reduce disruption for users, the engineer chose the latter option. The Super Asia team was also worried about potentially losing their Outlook email filters that organized incoming mail, as these could not be transferred by the project team. With a lean team of just 25 members, the users had very busy schedules, making it crucial for the project team to minimize downtime. For the migration, the CloudM tool enabled a quick transfer of all users' data simultaneously. The technical migration concluded in just 5 days, successfully transferring all emails, folders, and attachments under 25MB. Additionally, the domain sherbon.com, which was previously associated with a Google Workspace account that needed to be deleted, was added as a secondary domain for all users. To address Change Management, the HiView consultant created a Google Site that included training schedules, videos, user manuals, and other support materials. Emails were sent to help guide users through the transition. The HiView consultants conducted two 1-hour training sessions: one for end users focusing on Gmail, Meet, Calendar, Drive, and Contacts, and another for IT leadership discussing essential functions of the Admin Console. Users were very involved during the sessions, especially during the Gmail portion. Since email filters could not be migrated, users received guidance on how to create filters and organize labels in Gmail. The Super Asia team, used to using Outlook, was pleasantly surprised to find that Gmail offered not only similar key features but also additional functionalities. The move to Google Workspace went smoothly.

Migrating 1.7K Rackspace users to Google Workspace

The Schmidt Family of Companies (SFC), a prominent real estate brokerage, opted to transition to G Suite (Google Workspace) from an outdated managed service provider to enhance agent productivity and reduce expenses. To facilitate a seamless transition, SFC management chose HiView Solutions as their Google Cloud Premier Partner. The Challenge In real estate firms, agents are considered the "customers" of corporate teams, necessitating careful attention to any changes affecting them. Many agents have maintained the same working habits for years, making the implementation of changes more difficult. Flexibility and quick adaptability are essential during the G Suite rollout. Additionally, migrating from a Rackspace environment that was managed by a third-party supplier added further complexity to the project. The Approach SFC decided to implement G Suite utilizing the well-regarded 3-phase approach, where a core project team acted as "Google Guides" to lead the transformation. This collaboration allowed HiView and SFC to proactively identify potential issues and concerns before the complete rollout. Password resets were required for all users, which had to be coordinated with the third-party supplier to ensure smooth business operations. The Results
