Full-stack CMS development
The HireUkraine project involved creating a content management system (CMS) from the ground up for a client based in the Russian Federation. The client, a marketing firm with numerous clients, was previously using a custom solution that incorporated Critical CSS. They deemed it unnecessary to transfer the entire database to a proprietary system, opting instead to develop a product for their own use with future sales in mind.
The challenge was to design a CMS with an intuitive and user-friendly interface, offering fundamental CMS functionalities along with advanced features. It needed to integrate Critical CSS and possess a modular structure for easy incorporation of third-party add-ons and plugins. The project timeline was established at six months.
In response, HireUkraine assembled a project manager, a designer, a front-end developer, two back-end developers, and a QA specialist. We employed Laravel, the leading PHP framework, to build the platform in a modular and easily customizable manner. Additionally, we utilized AWS features for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Node.js and Critical CSS for front-end development, and Selenium along with Codeception for QA and testing. The project was successfully completed on schedule, and since its launch in 2016, over 1,000 units of the system have been sold.
