For the last four years, we have collaborated with 43North to develop, oversee, and refine the application process for businesses entering their competition. Our digital solutions have assisted 43North in reviewing thousands of applications, resulting in over $20 million allocated to startups in Buffalo. Additionally, Helm has just introduced a revamped website for 43North, updating the original design to align with the organization's new objectives and strategies for delivering enhanced content.

ThinkTech Solutions

Transforming an edTech product business through a range of innovative applications. The founders of ThinkTech collaborated with the team at Helm to develop their educational product. As experts in the education sector, they possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by schools. The use of technology in classrooms is still relatively new and often not utilized to its full potential. Current applications tended to keep students focused on their screens instead of facilitating interaction. Our goal was to improve the classroom experience and provide teachers with real-time insights. Our team created a collection of applications that allow teachers to engage their students effectively. Using these tools, educators can design unique learning games, and students can join live sessions to participate in sorting tasks or quiz-like activities. Teachers can conduct interactive exercises whenever they choose, engaging the entire class simultaneously. Students using laptops or tablets can collaborate on exercises, while the results are shared back with their teachers. We assisted ThinkTech in implementing advanced techniques such as accountable talk and self-reflection. This enables students to engage with each other, interact, and quickly assess their performance compared to their peers. As we continue to launch the application in school districts throughout New York, we are developing new features, advising on digital strategies, and creating additional innovative applications. With each update, student learning is becoming more transparent and interactive, allowing teachers to adapt their instruction based on real-time information.

Shea’s Performing Arts Center

Shea’s Performing Arts Center is a well-known landmark and cultural symbol in Buffalo. The center’s website receives over 40,000 visitors monthly. In order to represent the current status of the organization and adapt to the modern digital environment, Shea’s enlisted Helm to create a new website. We are collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a straightforward and modern ticket purchasing experience, along with up-to-date information on shows, exhibits, programs, and events. We have developed custom payment forms and volunteer registration processes, addressing each unique challenge presented by the theater. As we assist in expanding the theater's community, we will also create engaging experiences for patrons and develop administrative tools for their staff.
