Ontario Montessori – Brand Identity Design

Lighthouse Montessori Canada – Brand Identity

Gutsulyak.Studio created a comprehensive brand identity for Lighthouse Montessori, a daycare in Guelph that provides early education for children aged 18 months to 6 years. Emphasizing the Montessori philosophy, the school promotes independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The client desired a unique brand system that would embody their values, stand out in Ontario's market, and connect with both parents and children. The name "Lighthouse" was a key focus, representing guidance, exploration, and personal growth. We initiated our process with research into Montessori visual languages, both in Canada and worldwide, to avoid clichés and develop a fresh visual identity. Our aim was to create a warm, modern identity that reflects Montessori principles while appealing to Canadian families. Central to the identity is a custom lighthouse icon that is both memorable and emotionally relatable. We included a playful graphic pattern titled "ocean of smiles" to introduce energy and movement. The logotype merges geometric softness with a professional clarity. The color palette of red, yellow, light blue, navy, and white conveys safety, optimism, and trust. We implemented this branding across all touchpoints, including signage, uniforms, printed materials, digital templates, and classroom visuals. This approach has enhanced communication and the physical learning environment, making the brand an extension of the educational experience. As a result, Lighthouse Montessori now showcases a clear, joyful, and reliable image to parents and educators. The design has bolstered the school’s visibility in the community and made daily operations more cohesive and inviting.

Global Cybersecurity Firm Identity – BSG

BSG

BSG (formerly Berezha Security Group) is an international cybersecurity consulting company focused on application security, penetration testing, and security training. As their reputation grew in North America and beyond, BSG recognized the need for a rebranding that reflected their transformation from niche specialists to reliable enterprise collaborators. The new brand identity had to merge hacker credibility with corporate trust, appealing to both development teams and executive decision-makers. We steered clear of common cybersecurity symbols like shields and padlocks and instead embraced a conceptual, systems-based design. The custom logotype is inspired by algorithm charts, featuring three structured shapes symbolizing systems, applications, and business processes. This abstract design conveys that security is an integral part of the solution, aligning with contemporary DevSecOps principles. To honor BSG’s origins in the tech and hacker communities, we developed a secondary LEET-style emblem: “856” replacing BSG, which is utilized on internal merchandise and team gear. This aspect demonstrates cultural understanding and fosters team identity while maintaining professionalism for external audiences. The final branding is minimalist, scalable, and suitable for various contexts, including technical, sales, and HR. A subtle color scheme and modular design promote clear communication across platforms, from pitch presentations to developer portals. The outcome: BSG effectively conveys its technical expertise, global goals, and dual credibility, gaining the trust of both Fortune 500 companies and open-source colleagues. This rebranding successfully positioned BSG as a leading security partner in the competitive North American marketplace.

Toronto Luxury Patisserie – Le Beau Branding

Le Beau Croissanterie in Toronto

Le Beau is a French-style patisserie located in Toronto, established by chef Olga Spivak, who is a graduate of École Ducasse and a former apprentice to a Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Renowned for her precise techniques, use of natural ingredients, and visual sophistication, her creations warranted a brand identity that reflects their quality. Gutsulyak.Studio was tasked with developing a comprehensive luxury brand system, which included a bespoke typeface, packaging design, and visual strategy. The aim was to encapsulate the refined art of French pastry in a versatile, premium, and distinctly local brand identity. The design merges modern minimalism with traditional French elegance, featuring a soft pastel color scheme that suggests tranquility, nature, and high-quality ingredients. Delicate Art Deco accents pay homage to both Parisian heritage and Toronto’s architectural background, resulting in a brand personality that is both timeless and rooted in place. Central to this brand identity is Croissanterie, a custom sans-serif typeface suitable for labels and signage that balances readability with style, offering alternate forms for small-batch products. This tailored system is designed for practical application across menus, boxes, jars, and take-out packaging, all while maintaining an aesthetic appeal. The outcome: Le Beau’s refreshed identity exudes understated excellence, heritage, and craftsmanship, allowing the patisserie to carve out a niche in Canada’s expanding luxury culinary market. The brand now enhances both daily operations and long-term growth, earning the admiration of customers, designers, and chefs alike.
