SOWA

An ideal solution for event audio, the speakers provide wireless connectivity and synchronize sound without any noticeable delay. They can be positioned up to 150 meters apart outdoors and 50 meters indoors. The SOWA system is user-friendly and remembers its last settings, making it very practical for recurring or multi-day events. Users can manage the entire speaker network as well as individual units, allowing for adjustments in sound direction (left, right, or directly), volume control, and manual audio delay settings. The SOWA connects to audio sources using Bluetooth, mini-jack, or Neutrik XLR. With a battery life of 25 hours and a full charge time of just 3 hours via 26V/2A, it ensures longevity. The sound delay can reach up to 15 ms, achieved through a new 2.4 GHz communication protocol designed by Grinn for distances of up to 150 meters. To operate the SOWA, simply power on the speakers, select one as the host, and link it to your audio source. The other speakers will then automatically connect to the host and start producing sound. The SOWA features a sleek Scandinavian design, with its stylish, wireless form making it suitable for any environment. Weighing only 8 kilograms, it remains compact without compromising on sound quality. The development process for Grinn took six months to create the initial prototype, followed by another six months for the final version. Our responsibilities encompassed hardware, software, testing, production management, and connectivity, with a total of seven team members involved in the project.

all.u.me

For the company all.u.me, we created a wearable safety device designed in the form of elegant jewelry to combat harassment. It features a compact 1 cm hardware module that is seamlessly integrated into a stylish piece, ensuring lightweight comfort and discretion when worn. By pressing the device three times, users can trigger an alert via a connected mobile app that notifies up to 20 nearby individuals. The first five responders receive the caller's location and instructions for safe assistance. Designed to look like everyday jewelry, such as a bracelet or charm, the device is waterproof, lightweight, and boasts a long battery life. Project Development Grinn handled the complete hardware and firmware development, as well as preparing the device for mass production and certification. The development process faced challenges due to the extreme miniaturization needed for integration into wearable jewelry; the hardware had to fit within a 1 cm footprint. The final hardware solution was standardized across various jewelry designs, allowing for efficient mechanical integration while ensuring consistent performance. Grinn also managed the entire CE certification process, including radio and safety tests. Ultimately, we delivered a compact hardware platform that met all project specifications for connectivity, safety, reliability, and ultra-low power consumption. The final product combined technical strength with versatility and readiness for manufacturing.

Yoli

Yoli is an engaging educational block game designed for interactive learning. As children complete tasks and answer questions, they place cards on a digital game board that connects wirelessly. If a card is selected incorrectly, it is removed from the board, allowing the game to proceed. When children select the correct card, the cards vibrate and bounce in response. Yoli not only aids in developing a child's attention, imagination, fine motor skills, and social interaction, but it also offers parents valuable insights. The game gathers statistics that can be accessed via a smartphone. Even without a connection, data is collected and stored during gameplay, and when the device connects, the statistics are uploaded for review. This enables parents to monitor their child's performance, understanding how quickly they solve problems, how many hints they may need, and which tasks are more challenging. Yoli turns learning into a fun experience for kids while providing informative feedback for parents. In the project's early stages, Grinn engineers devised a unique electromagnet tailored for Yoli, a key element absent in existing toys that meets the game's needs. In addition to hardware development, software creation, testing, and production oversight, Grinn worked alongside product design teams to enhance the final product's appeal and visual appeal.
