OUR STORY
RegCleaner, developed by Jouni Vuorio (later Flemming) in 1998 during junior high, stands as one of the pioneering freeware Windows registry cleaning tools. Garnering over a million downloads within its first year, it was designed to identify and remove invalid file references in the Windows registry, thereby enhancing system performance. The software includes features like a software uninstaller, startup program manager, and tools to edit installed software lists and registered file types. After its initial success, development transitioned to jv16 PowerTools in 2003, a comprehensive Windows utility suite incorporating an advanced registry cleaner. Although RegCleaner is no longer updated or compatible with modern Windows versions, it remains available for research purposes, symbolizing Macecraft Software's dedication to improving system maintenance utilities.
