Border Buddy CargoWise Integration

Border Buddy

Gravit-e was originally tasked by Border Buddy to create an integration between their proprietary lead management system and a new customs brokerage management system being introduced in Canada. Following an initial discovery and requirements analysis phase, a solution based on a new middleware application was recommended. We proceeded with the development of this middleware, which serves as an integration hub for all of Border Buddy’s essential tools and services, including Cargowise, NxGen, Stripe, Xero, and their proprietary lead management system. In addition, a Shopify marketplace app was created as a new sales channel for Border Buddy, enabling US merchants to sell to Canadian customers with all customs and duty costs prepaid. This app connects with the middleware to automatically transfer all necessary data into the brokerage management software whenever a new transaction occurs in the merchant’s Shopify store. Gravit-e also offers continuous support, maintenance, and devops services to manage the production hosting environment for the middleware and the Shopify application.

Claim Management Application

Plotkin Health

Gravit-e collaborated with Plotkin Health to update an outdated database and claim tracking system that was challenging to maintain and no longer suited their requirements. The project began with an in-depth evaluation of their existing systems and procedures. Subsequently, we created a phased plan to implement a tailored software solution. This new software provided immediate access to information that was once only accessible in print, connected seamlessly with various external systems, and fully or partially automated many time-intensive tasks. Continuous improvements, support, and maintenance have continued after the initial project was completed.

Reporting Application Implementation

Linde Equity

Linde Equity aimed to simplify and update the process of creating and delivering their quarterly reports to clients. After finishing a previous requirements analysis, Gravit-e developed a new solution to replace the outdated Access-based application used for generating fund performance reports. The old system mandated that users be physically present in the office and involved many labor-intensive manual tasks. Gravit-e introduced a web application and database that modernized the report generation process, automating most of the previously necessary manual steps. As part of this project, a custom client database with basic CRM features was developed. Additionally, functionality was implemented to automatically produce and send stock trade confirmations to clients by importing data from Linde Equity’s trading platform. Ongoing development, support, and management of the application continued after the initial project was completed.
