Magnetics Ecommerce Website
Sekao Engineering operates an e-commerce site specializing in magnets and blacksmith supplies. When I first got involved, the website had been running for two years without success, lacking organic traffic and sales. The owner had poured substantial time and money into it, but the effort didn't yield results. I was brought on board to help revitalize the site.
My initial step was to conduct comprehensive keyword research to pinpoint the most relevant and high-traffic keywords in the industry. Following that, I optimized the website's on-page elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags, incorporating these keywords. My primary focus was on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), addressing navigation issues for visitors and minimizing the clicks required to complete a purchase.
Next, I developed content for the main pages and product categories, ensuring each contained at least 500 words detailing product descriptions and uses, providing visitors with extensive information about the store and the online buying process. I then shifted my attention to building high-quality backlinks to the site. I connected with other industry websites and offered to write guest blog posts in exchange for a link back to the e-commerce site. I also ensured the website was listed in online directories and industry-related forums. As part of our engagement, we provided discounts to local blacksmith clubs and college students.
In addition to these strategies, I implemented technical SEO best practices, creating a sitemap, ensuring mobile-friendliness, and optimizing for fast loading speeds and security with HTTPS. As a result, the website began to climb in search engine rankings for our target keywords, leading to a noticeable increase in organic traffic and sales. Within six months, the website was generating between $5,000 and $10,000 each month.
