This connected the past with the present, honoring previous influential women while linking them to the current honorees. GSP partnered with female-owned and operated businesses in areas such as catering, content, visual design, and security. GSP has been involved in creating and producing the “Power of Women” event since 2018.

Hulu Nine Perfect Strangers

Objective: To craft a compelling pre-launch event that generated excitement for Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers” through a consumer-oriented wellness experience accessible to the public, infused with the show's mysterious appeal. Featuring a prominent and buzz-worthy cast, GSP was responsible for executing a thoughtfully designed immersive event that honored the series as in-person events resumed following COVID shutdowns. Approach: Successfully addressing the challenge of securing a venue that provided sufficient foot traffic and visibility to accommodate various activities and engage existing consumers, we chose the courtyard at Westfield Century City. GSP, having collaborated with Hulu on previous premieres and featuring key creative team members with a background in wellness and spirituality, understood the essence of the show. By merging the hauntingly beautiful aesthetic of “Nine Perfect Strangers” with in-person experiences, we created a captivating, forest-themed retreat for guests that offered insight into healing and self-discovery. Each element was thoughtfully crafted to inspire tranquility, learning, exploration, and holistic wellness, all while hinting at the show's intriguing charms.

Overview: GSP was responsible for designing, managing, and executing three key projects at the EFOC: reimagining the existing Essence Film Festival, creating and enhancing VIP experiences at Essence House in collaboration with EFOC brand partners, and organizing the opening night for all Festival sponsors. Services: Essence Film Festival—GSP partnered with EFOC and the acclaimed producer, writer, and actress Sidra Smith to plan, create, oversee, and produce the Film Festival, which featured three days of live programming, each lasting eight hours. The festival achieved great success, highlighting storytellers from the African diaspora through original screenings of film, television, and new media, as well as panel discussions, workshops, and celebrity events. Essence House—Located off-site from the Convention Center, the Essence House provided a VIP experience where brands organized both consumer-facing and exclusive events for celebrities, influencers, and creators during EFOC. GSP collaborated with brands like TikTok, Target, and Disney, facilitating various experiential activations, such as brunches, dinners, and photo studios. The success of Essence House exceeded brand partners’ expectations, generating trending content across multiple platforms while prominently featuring local community vendors that offered unique "only in NOLA" treats and products. Sponsor Reception—GSP developed a welcome event for all EFOC sponsors, which included a stage for musical performances, a selection of curated local food and drinks, and thoughtfully integrated photo opportunities and music-related installations.
