George Mandis is a seasoned technology professional with over 20 years of experience, ranging from software engineering to leading engineering teams. Starting his journey with computers at age twelve, he launched his consultancy in Portland, Oregon in 2006. Recently serving as director of engineering at Axios HQ, he is now exploring new career opportunities. George is passionate about "joyful programming," sharing his expertise through workshops and talks at more than 25 conferences worldwide, including Microsoft Build. Committed to education and diversity, he runs a web development bootcamp for underrepresented groups and mentors aspiring technologists.
