Funded Today was founded on June 24, 2014, in Utah's Silicon Slopes when business consultant Zach Smith invited social media marketer Thomas Alvord to assist RooSport in crowdfunding its enhanced magnetic sports pocket. This partnership turned out to be highly successful. Their achievements with RooSport quickly spread through word-of-mouth, attracting several new clients over the next few months, whose campaigns benefited greatly from Zach and Thomas's marketing expertise. This series of triumphs inspired them to formalize their collaboration into a business, and they officially incorporated Funded Today LLC on December 15 of that same year, with Thomas serving as Chairman and Zach as CEO.
