Piedmont University Reach Your Peak Campaign 2022

In the second quarter of 2021, our Forum Communications team dedicated considerable time to strategizing with the marketing and enrollment departments at Piedmont University. Typically, universities employ a broad-brush strategy for brand awareness, promoting themselves as a whole while relying on enrollment agencies to acquire student data and increase enrollment. However, we at Forum believed we could enhance branding efforts by using market research and data from Piedmont's admissions teams to create a focused promotional campaign targeting prospective students through various media channels. Piedmont identified 19 strategic undergraduate and graduate programs that could benefit from enhanced promotion, which we chose to highlight due to their potential for growth. The campaign achieved over 13 million media impressions—approximately 3.5 times the reach of the previous year's efforts—and led to a 31.6% increase in website traffic. We also recorded more than 900 leads to the website specifically for the promoted programs, noteworthy given that Piedmont's total enrollment for Fall 2021 was just over 2,100 students. While the campaign successfully boosted brand awareness, Piedmont experienced remarkable enrollment growth as well. The Fall 2022 incoming class became the largest freshman cohort in the university's history, representing an 18% increase year-over-year and a 26% rise in first-year housing compared to the previous year.

Peach Education Tax Credit

Georgia Foundation for Public Education

Forum Communications recognized that to foster understanding and ownership of the educational tax credit, it was essential to help GFPE develop a distinct and easily identifiable name and brand. The new designation, the PEACH Education Tax Credit, replaced the prior name, “the qualified education donation tax credit.” To strengthen this new branding and establish its marketplace identity, Forum Communications designed a logo for the PEACH tax credit that complemented GFPE’s branding while giving the tax credit its own distinct presence. Once the branding and logo were in place, Forum supported GFPE in reinforcing this new identity through social media outreach and by producing educational materials for legislators. Additionally, Forum reviewed and updated the GFPE website’s content and navigation to ensure that users could easily find helpful information regarding the PEACH tax credit. The new logo and branding were also included in GFPE’s annual reports, and Forum created a PowerPoint presentation template for GFPE leadership to use when discussing the tax credit. The collaboration between Forum Communications and GFPE significantly enhanced the visibility of the PEACH tax credit, ultimately benefiting public education in Georgia by increasing awareness and donations. Following the launch of PEACH in 2022, GFPE's social media followers surged by 100% and reach rose by 355% during the same period. Furthermore, thanks to Forum’s efforts, the tax credit cap expanded from $5 million to $15 million. From the time GFPE assumed control of the tax credit program in 2022 through 2024, the amount of tax credits issued soared by 575%, and the expiration date for the PEACH tax credit was ultimately extended to 2029.

Jaemor Farms Website Redesign

Forum Communications collaborated closely with the client to develop a new website that prioritized not just aesthetics, but also user experience and design. We restructured Jaemor’s website menu and content by applying User Experience Design (UX) and User Interface Design (UI) principles. The final product showcases Jaemor’s brand colors, features a contemporary typeface, and incorporates stunning imagery from the farm. This user-friendly website encourages visitors to explore Jaemor’s diverse range of services and products. The extensive content highlights Jaemor’s historical significance as a leader in agriculture in northeast Georgia and its expertise in providing fresh produce and enjoyable farm experiences for visitors of all ages. Recognizing that a farm experience is all about engaging the senses, we emphasized appealing visuals—art that evokes smells, tastes, and textures. After all, it's the tangible offerings—like produce, baked goods, and attractions such as a corn maze—that keep visitors returning to Jaemor. To enhance the new site, Forum Communications employed professional photography as a focal point and utilized the skill and creativity of our graphics team, featuring hand-illustrated representations of produce throughout. As a result, Jaemor received a comprehensive website that showcases every facet of their diverse business and effectively drives traffic, averaging around 20,000 sessions monthly. With the new site, visitors can easily plan their trips, discover seasonal activities, purchase tickets in advance, and explore on-site offerings.
