John Macdonald, Founder and President of Food Security Solutions, brings decades of experience from the Agribusiness and Food & Beverage industries with a focus on innovation and technology to enhance productivity. With a career spanning New Zealand and the Middle East, John has collaborated on global food security initiatives involving organizations such as Almarai, the Saudi Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture, KAUST University, and Dubai's Prime Minister’s Office. Central to his work is addressing food waste and advancing the upcycling of organic materials. Through leading organic waste mapping studies and employing upcycling technologies, John aims to develop commercial solutions that benefit the environment while creating new business opportunities, driving the shift toward a circular food system.
