**City of Prospect** **Overview** The City of Prospect devised the Open Space Strategy to enhance and maintain over 30 public spaces within the Council area. This initiative aimed to gather community input by soliciting simple thumbs up or thumbs down responses regarding the proposed improvements and objectives tied to each open space. Additionally, a digital version of the strategy and a corresponding signage system to be installed in parks and across the neighborhood were to be created. **Methodology** Our research commenced with visits to various open spaces throughout the City of Prospect. Given the seven distinct categories of open spaces, we ensured a diverse selection was analyzed to comprehend the different interactions with these areas and their surrounding infrastructure. For each park, we strategically placed signs inviting visitors to provide feedback by visiting a URL on their mobile devices. This link would detail the Council's proposed plans for that specific park and allow visitors to share their opinions. Furthermore, they could access more information about the City of Prospect’s wider Open Space Strategy and register their support or disapproval. It was crucial for the campaign to be visually appealing, with information about the strategy presented in a straightforward and accessible manner. **Solution** The signage system we created incorporates traditional outdoor games that children used to play. We believed this fun and playful concept would attract a broad audience, appealing to children and young families, while also resonating with older individuals who have fond memories of those games from their own childhood.

Springbank Secondary College: The Overview In late spring 2018, Springbank Secondary College (previously known as Pasadena High School) approached Flux for a brand refresh that would modernize their identity. They aimed to update their branding while honoring the school's history and its established presence within the community. Consideration was also given to the school's teaching methods, specialized facilities, and recent collaborations with the Australian Science & Mathematics School and Flinders University. Springbank Secondary College is an innovative institution with a strong emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics). Students have the chance to engage in various music, drama, and performance activities at the Tower Arts Centre. The school also offers a Disability Unit, Basketball Academy, and Trade Training Centre, providing a diverse range of specialized opportunities. The curriculum promotes curiosity, innovation, and creativity through inquiry-based learning. It was evident that the new identity system should reflect these qualities while fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity, which are central to the school's ethos. The Approach Drawing from these values, we crafted a new motto for the school: "Igniting Inquisitive Imagination." This phrase signifies the aim of fostering a love for learning and developing new ideas. "Igniting" is a science-oriented term indicating the initiation of something with a spark. "Inquisitive" reflects the natural desire to learn through curiosity, while "Imagination" is typically linked to the arts but is also relevant to contemporary STEM fields. Progress in science and engineering emerges from generating new ideas built on a strong foundational knowledge. Additionally, we believe this motto embodies inclusivity, as the qualities of imagination and curiosity are not limited to academically inclined individuals.

One for the honey, two for the bees For the Love of Honey The overview For the Love of Honey is a honey business located in the Adelaide Hills that sought a unique identity and packaging design for their honey products. Their goal was to set themselves apart from competitors by highlighting their core ethical and environmental values. The strategy As we worked on the brief, it became clear that this business prioritizes thoughtful and meticulous production and packaging. Their supply chain, encompassing everything from the bees to the beekeepers and consumers, is designed to provide continuous support and transparency for all involved. The business and its beekeepers are so knowledgeable that they can taste-test various honeys to pinpoint the specific plants or botanicals from which the bees gathered pollen. The outcome Given the importance of transparency and authenticity to the brand, we created a dual-label packaging system to clearly indicate the beekeeper and location of each honey jar. Inspired by both the bees and the beekeepers, we developed a distinctive set of pointillism-style illustrations to express the deep connection to native flora, while also reminding consumers of the production origins. Coupled with a striking, geometric logomark and logotype, this design offers a compelling contrast, ultimately providing the product with a unique and carefully crafted identity to help it stand out among other honey brands.
